I was a bit concerned about solo-playing Valheim, but since I last fired it up they added some world settings to let you dial in the difficulty you want. I'm going to recommend Valheim.

Where we live (Cupertino, CA, one might have heard of it) a household is limited to two dogs, three cats and four animals total. When we were adding Fez to our household of Nutmeg and Dawson @laura.tsuk.com called the city to find out what to do about this problem.

Below the title and author, the format is listed as "Picture Book, 2025," followed by a link to "View location availability."

On the right, a green badge with a checkmark reads "Ready." Below it, the text specifies "Pick up at Cupertino Library" and "Pick up by May 12, 2026." A large grey button provides an option to "Cancel hold," with a note
beneath stating "Holds ready for pickup cannot be modified." At the bottom right, there is a "For Later" button with a bookmark icon and a dropdown arrow.

A close-up, eye-level photo of Kai, a two-year-old female Boston Terrier. Kai is resting her chin comfortably on a plush, multi-colored fleece blanket featuring a vibrant, abstract pattern of blue, orange, yellow, green, and pink. She has large, expressive dark eyes looking slightly to the side, and her signature large, pointed ears are alert and upright. A thin white blaze runs up the center of her face between her eyes, contrasting with her dark fur. The background is softly blurred with deep blue and magenta tones, suggesting she is relaxing on a couch or bed.

Next up, this pictures of Skitch from 2014 and 2011. Skitch was our first foray into a dog breed other than Boston Terrier. He looked like a tiny little bear as a puppy, but grew up to look more like what on would expect from an Aussie.

A fluffy black and tan Australian Shepherd puppy with a small white patch on its chest trots across a bright green lawn. The puppy has long, soft fur, floppy ears, and a playful expression with its pink tongue slightly peeking out. Sunlight illuminates its coat as it steps forward with its front paw raised.

Now an adult, the same black and tan Australian Shepherd lies calmly on a lush green lawn. Its coat has grown thick and long, with deep black fur and rich tan markings on its face, legs, and chest. A small white patch is visible on its chest, and a bright orange lattice-style ball sits on the grass just in front of its paws. The dog gazes forward with a focused, mature expression.

Here's a picture of Fez from 2006. It's hard to see, but he's got a hairlip on the left side of his mouth. One of his teeth grew sideways. He had to be bottle fed until he could eat solid food, but otherwise it gave him no problems.

A close-up, eye-level shot of a small black and white Boston Terrier puppy, lying on a soft, light-colored surface. Bright sunlight from a window behind the puppy creates a warm, glowing effect.

I haven't been holding up my end here on the dog content creation front, so here come some historical puppy pictures. This is a 1997 picture of our first puppy, Nutmeg. The 640x480 resolution suggests it was taken with a QuickTake 100.
