After #phpday, I visited Venice.

View across the water towards the island of San Giorgio Maggiore in Venice, Italy, with the Renaissance church of San Giorgio Maggiore and its tall brick campanile dominating the skyline. A water taxi passes in the foreground, with sailing boats moored to the left and overcast skies above.

It will never cease to amaze me how you can be wandering around #fosdem among with 5000 or so other attendees and run into someone you know. Was fun to catch up with @elizabeth-barron.bsky.social as always!

Hey Jesse, I'm working on my model railway today. It's a nice change from computing!

An under-construction UK model railway layout, featuring two black steam locomotives with "LMS" branding. One locomotive is pulling maroon passenger coaches, while the other shunts a variety of goods wagons, including a branded "CO-OPERATIVE SOCIETY" wagon and an "N.E." van. The track arrangement includes multiple sidings, a raised platform with a sloped ramp, and a mock-up building.

If you are using Bluesky via a Safari web app on the Mac, then add this custom keyboard shortcut to System Settings in order stop ⌘N creating a new window, so that it can be used to create a new post.

A screenshot of the Mac's System Settings -> Keyboard -> Keyboard Shortcuts -> App Shortcuts showing the addition of a new entry for Bluesky.app of "New Window" with a short cut of ⌥⌘N

Looking at #photos today. This one of 71000 "Duke of Gloucester" is from 15 years ago and was taken on my first DSLR, a Nikon D80. Loved that camera.

Playing Civ while my wife plays DA:Veilguard. A good Saturday evening!

Civ VI on a laptop with a glass of wine in the hand. A TV with Dragon Age Veilguard on it is in the background.

Ever since Sonoma, I'm gett this irritating dialog box from Safari when I press cmd+w to close a tab. I don't even know how to select two tabs!

Safari dialog box saying:
You have 2 tabs selected. Do you want to close 2 tabs?

This is a good place to be playing Tears of the Kingdom! #vacation #Nintendo #TOTK

A Nintendo Switch with separated red JoyCons on a white table that's on a veranda in front of a pool. Tears of the Kingdom is playing on the Switch.
