There was so much hope for this mob when they got rid of awful Morrison government and Dr Ryan beat the equally awful #JoshieFromAccounts. Then they were sent a free pass with unelectable Dutton. It has been downhill from there. Such a disappointment. We might have hope now with David Shoebridge.

In more than a few decades of bicycle riding I have found guys on aero bars the most polite, friendly and considerate bicycle riders when you pass them. Or they you. I also believe all motorists, particularly those in oversized trucks, love bicycle riders.

Really good article, Peter. As an aside, has anyone read a bad article by Flax? I wouldn't wear Rapha when they sponsored Sky and their dopers. But after a few 10hr+ rides I went looking for great bibs. Coolness doesn't really worry me at three score plus, fit and comfort does.

Lots of experience but... Amazing how these small minded people get triggered by riders finding safe ways to go quicker than them and then get triggered by riders holding them up by going slower. All the time forgetting that self preservation by riders is a huge motivator of safety.
