The insurance is basically for if something catastrophic happens. Worst thing is the deductible is per year, so even thought I'm only $300 away it will reset in January. 🙄

There are plans without a deductible but they make it up in the monthly premiums which can run in the thousands. I had a full physical this year including heart and lung pics blood tests, had to pay for it all out of pocket. Also had a torn rotator cuff, paying for the physical therapy. It sucks.

So Insurance works like this. You pay every month, my employer pays half so I pay about $400 a month my share. They have this thing called a "deductible". Mine is $3000 so I have to spend $3000 on health care before the insurance covers anything. That $3K is the lowest deductible available to me. 1/
