Films 2026 109. Terminator Salvation (2009) 4th film and supposed to be start of a new trilogy. Bale seems to think he is in a serious war film instead of an action thriller. This time as its the war. Bale overacts and Worthington is a weak Arnold replacement. Silly fan service. 6/10 #filmsky

Films 2026 107. Terminator 3 Rise Of The Machines (2003) Arnold's last hurrah (big payday, lead role in Terminator) and nice end to the trilogy. This time the Terminator is female, and can build weapons. Problem is the action sequence are reversed...starts big and then scales down! 8/10 #filmsky

Books 2026. 44. The Golden Menhir, by Rene Goscinny and Albert Uderzo, orig 1967 pub 2026. First English version of this 'book on record'. It was released with in 1967 and works as a read-a-long. Unlike the books on tape its more an illustrated radio script. Short and not so sweet. 5/10 #booksky

Great list but highlights a few things good/bad. 1. There are no more house characters aka ones written by multiple author/artist combos. All of these have the same writer for the full runs..some even have the same artists. 2. Nearlly all of these are ongoing sagas..no one off tales to enjoy.

Books 2026. 43. Razor Girl by Carl Hiaasen, 2016. ExCop Yancy (from Bad Monkey) returns, still inspecting restaurants, still stopping people building on an empty plot next to him. This time he's imvolved with a con-woman, a kidnapping + a murder. Brilliant dark comedy from Hiaasen. 8/10 #booksky

Films 2026 103. Avengers Infinity War (2018) Rewatch before Endhame Encore. This has a lot to do but is fair to all the characters, each gets something to do. Tightly scripted story results in a great film. And that ending!!! The year long wait for the sequel was pretty long. 10/10 #filmsky

Films 2026 101. Raiders Of The Lost Ark (1981) Rare cinema rerelease in the UK for this classic to celebrate its 45th anniversary. I "think" I saw it in 81/82, but I was only 8! Now rated 12A. Has always been PG on cinema or home release before! Looks great on the big screen. 10/10 #filmsky

Films 2026 100. Panda Plan (2024) Kids film with Jackie Chan, as himself, is at a zoo when a gang arrive to kidnap a baby panda. Jackie then protects the panda from teh kidnappers. Jackie's getting older and slower but still better than most. Some half decent fight but not much more. 4/10 #filmsky

Books 2026. 39. The Blues Brothers, by Daniel De Vise, 2024. This book purports to be about the making of The Blues Brothers film, SNL, Belushi and Ackroyd. Reality..its a John Belushi biography. Eg Three paragraphs on Belushi buying a house...5 words on Ackroyd! Great book though 10/10 #booksky

Films 2026 99. Anaconda (2025) In the 80s 3 teens did a shot for shot remake of Raiders Of The Lost Ark, without a home release to refer to. Instead of making that story a film we get 4 childhood friends make a Anaconda film when they arw adults. Wasted opportunity. 4/10 #filmsky

Films 2026 98. Mayday (2026) Kenneth Branagh finally does an out and out action role, playing an ex KGB officer. Ryan Reynolds as a downed pilot un USSR is, effectively, the side kick. Think Kurt Russell in Big Trouble In Little China, but not as good. But that films perfect! 9/10 #filmsky

Books 2026. 38. Crusaders by Dan Jones, 2020. This book tries to cover the full history of the Crusades. Problem is thats a lot to cover. Pretty good though, with interesting snippets as the author references lots of various sources which gives in a lot of insight. 8/10 #booksky

Films 2026 96. Shout At The Devil (1976) Roger Moore, having made two Bonds by now teams up with Lee Marvin in this pre WWI African set story. Starts as an adventurous comedy romp takes a serious turn at the out break of the war. Both Moore and Marvin play to their strengths. 7/10 #filmsky

Films 2026 90. Star Wars The Clone Wars (2008) Only animated Star Wars film and the last Film with input from George Lucas. First few episodes of the Tv show are strung together but make a more coherant whole than the Mandalorian movie. Great stuff and still looks and sounds amazing. 8/10 #filmsky

Films 2026 88. Honey Don't (2025) Honey is a female private eye investigating the death of a client, in this very 70s style thriller. A star filled cast gives us a story of many parts, some that go nowhere and some that come from left field. Funny and very enjoyable. 8/10 #filmsky

Films 2026 86. Rambo III (1988) Rambo rescues POW again But this time 1st rescue attempt results in no rescue 2nd attempt starts with a helicopter (like II) but that then crashes. Fun sequel. Rambo is given more quips, some funny, some pained. Enjoyable film with Stallone at his peak 8/10 #filmsky

Films 2026 85. My Stepmother is an Alien (1988) A serious script with allegories of child abuse entered the Hollywood studio system and ended up a broad comedy with Kin Basinger as an Alien who falls in love with Dan Ackroyd. Some funny moment but too many failed jokes. 4/10 #filmsky
