Two sentences each or two to summarize all disaster history. Like this? "Sometimes bad things happened. People died"

Hamilton deciding on a definition of emergency management means as much to me as 47 "officially" deciding that AI should be called SI.

If an earthquake shakes you out of your sadness, you too may be an emergency manager.

When I built my house in 2001, everything was state of the art. Today, I replaced my HVAC (before it died during some extreme weather). Besides improved efficiency, my heat is now electric (generated from my solar system). The only remaining gas appliance is my stove (which I rarely use).

Why? A defensive driving instructor compared the percentage of driving that's done in reverse to that of accidents while reversing. He suggested driving through in parking lots to be able to pull out directly. As a former firefighter, I usually back in, particularly now that I have a rear camera.

When this was first published, I used it to create a "March Madness" type bracket as an in-class exercise for my UG health policy & politics class. It's a spring class so the timing was right.

I subscribed to the @sacbee.com in 1986. It excelled at state news, politics, and investigative reporting. Little such coverage is now included. If someone does in California what the Washington Sun is doing in DC, I’d switch in a minute. The layoffs announced today might be the final straw

Hearing 47's plea to his supporters to vote in the midterm like he's on the ballot makes me wonder if this shouldn't actually be the D's campaign theme.

One of the biggest failures in health policy is the inability to convince people that single payer and universal healthcare aren't the same thing. The second might be the failure to show how limited Medicare is compared to existing employer insurance programs.

Once the death certificate is filed, it's all public information and (depending on the state), any coroner's report may also be public. I wonder if state law there limits the time between death and filing. Plus, I tell people that common law breach of privacy may hit them when HIPAA can't.
