k @rmaud.io · 14/02/2026This moth orchid has bent towards the window. Its roots are slowly crowding the leca pebbles in the mason jar. Time for some new digs! Hopefully will flower in a year or two. 000
k @rmaud.io · 02/12/2025My Twitch 2025 recap. Still a good source of connection. static-cdn.jtvnw.net/recap-sharea... 010
k @rmaud.io · 03/06/2025I stared at this for minutes without touching it. Then in a fit of pique I spooned out one lens of the glasses to make it a toasted coconut pirate latte. Props to Brew Birds (not on here) 010
k @rmaud.io · 03/03/2025My favorite orchid’s third blossom is starting to fall, but look… mayhap there will be another round? 040
k @rmaud.io · 18/02/2025Third orchid bloom of the year. It faces the sunlight so I get to see the business end of the plant. Potting it in glass has been helpful because the roots stay green. Using leca lets the roots grow between them, and the moss on top helps keep some moisture between waterings. 140
k @rmaud.io · 14/01/2025This is how I start every workday. Each line on the left is a pomodoro. “WU” is for wake up, and that’s when I deal with the list on the right. (1/?) 900
k @rmaud.io · 08/01/2025So this one was the first loaf of bread with baking powder. It was a 5g YOLO and the results baked well, but there’s a something taste to it. Next time a little less salt and baking powder. 020
k @rmaud.io · 01/01/2025Cast iron chocolate chip cookies for this sober new year. The absolute moment of intentional sensory engagement with cooking has been a great way to pass difficult time. And the results are shareable! 000
k @rmaud.io · 18/12/2024I always start the workday with music.apple.com/us/album/bac..., switch to Thibault mid day, and something energetic at the end of the day. 000
k @rmaud.io · 18/12/2024This one is disappearing pretty quickly. It’s 3:2 white:wheat flour with herbs de provence. It goes surprisingly well with a spicy cream cheese. 100
k @rmaud.io · 09/12/2024A vanguard of Phalaenopsis orchid flowers welcomes their newest. No matter the sad fall of Fall into a drippy wet winter. 010
k @rmaud.io · 01/12/2024Baked at 375 for 35 min, then 400 for 6 min. Will be stuck in the impatient bakers meditation of “is it cool enough to cut yet? How bout now? Hmm… maybe… NO have some willpower sheesh.” 010
k @rmaud.io · 01/12/2024More experimenting with basic bread recipes. This is 500g whole wheat flour, about 200ml scalded whole milk, and about 120ml water with honey to proof the yeast. Cold fermented overnight in the fridge. 120
k @rmaud.io · 01/12/2024I cut the onion and it just did that. The frog was a gift and normally wins the photobomb… but the onion… 010
k @rmaud.io · 30/11/2024Here’s the business end. Note the extreme bend of the main part — that way faces the window. This orchid is potted in leca clay balls with a layer of sphagnum moss on top. 040
k @rmaud.io · 30/11/2024This little guy was a gift several months ago. The flowers dropped but I left the stem. Two new groups of flowers are growing from that stem. The new leaves and air roots seem healthy. This is potted in lava rock. I get it outside in the rain, else dunk it for 10 min in water with fertilizer . 010
k @rmaud.io · 24/11/2024I stopped drinking a few years ago. Took me a while to figure out what beer was doing for me. 900
k @rmaud.io · 22/11/2024A breakfast past but not forgotten. I never knew what cardamom tasted like, but wow. I’m a sloppy tea maker but the stray leaves don’t cause mustache problems. 200
k @rmaud.io · 19/11/2024Skyline Drive is full of great vistas. What I didn’t expect was to drive 35 miles an hour for hours. It’s forcefully mindful and that was great to settle into. 100
k @rmaud.io · 18/11/2024My Glove80 keyboard in Workman layout. The purple vibes are for show, that’s hard on battery life. But this has been a huge win in the fight against tendonitis. Links in replies. 410
