Among the items Combs has gotten his hands on, two sources said, is a “jailbroken” tablet that he has used to watch movies and documentaries — including “Sean Combs: The Reckoning,” the Netflix docuseries produced by his longtime nemesis 50 Cent.

No notes.
Lipman’s hardline stance on Israel, she suggests, means that she won’t work with certain actors who support the Palestinian cause. “I won’t be going on tour with The Killing of Sister George with Maxine Peake and Miriam Margolyes, put it that way.”

You're halfway through this bananas article and this random dude compares himself to Michelangelo and da Vinci. Outstanding content.
He later added: “Why am I making the statue? The same reason why Michelangelo did the Pietà, or Michelangelo did the David, or Leonardo da Vinci painted the Mona Lisa. Why? Just to commemorate a moment, you know, a person.”

It is absolutely batshit that this is the breakdown for this opinion. Batshit and deeply fucking terrifying
ROBERTS, C. J., delivered the opinion of the Court, in which
SOTOMAYOR, KAGAN, BARRETT, and JACKSON, JJ., joined. JACKSON, J.,
filed a concurring opinion, in which SOTOMAYOR, J., joined as to the in-
troduction and Part I. KAVANAUGH, J., filed an opinion concurring in the
judgment and dissenting in part. THOMAS, J., filed a dissenting opinion,
in which GORSUCH, J., joined. ALITO, J., and GORSUCH, J., filed dissenting
opinions.

"Not getting into the legality of everything" is a pretty good slogan for ICE, won't lie
The woman’s husband eventually arrives and tries to intervene, and he made a separate recording of the interaction on his phone. He tells the agents not to search her car because they don't have a warrant and it would be an illegal search. The agents appear dismissive of his constitutional concerns.

"I'm not getting into the legality of everything," One agent responds tersely.

So, this is bad. It's just a cert petition at this point. But they're not just teeing up overturning Obergefell. Davis would have the Court overrule all of its substantive due process jurisprudence. Which, if they did, would be... very bad.
(3) Whether Obergefell v. Hodges, 576 U.S. 644
(2015), and the legal fiction of substantive due

But see Trump vs. United States, 603 U.S. __ (2024) (Roberts, C.J.).
Congress cannot act on, and courts cannot examine, the President’s actions on subjects within his “conclusive and preclusive” constitutional authority. It follows that an Act of Congress—either a specific one targeted at the President or a generally applicable one—may not criminalize the President’s actions within his exclusive constitutional power. Neither may the courts adjudicate a criminal prosecution that examines such Presidential actions. We thus conclude that the President is absolutely immune from criminal prosecution for conduct within his exclusive sphere of constitutional authority.

Um. What the fuck?
"I find that that's assumed by a number of my colleagues in related cases that deal with free speech in the lower courts, but I'm not clear that noncitizens have, I will call them, the full rights to free speech that a citizen has," the Reagan-appointed judge said.

"I'm hopeful we don't get to it in this case, but I don't see how that will work if a noncitizen has the same rights as a citizen to speak about these matters," the judge said, suggesting the question should be answered by the Supreme Court.

But he's a leader in the use of Generative AI in legal practice! I have thoughts about the "Understanding Conservative Legal Thought" seminar.
John Greil is a Clinical Professor at the University of Texas School of Law, where he directs the Law and Religion Clinic. He is a leader in the use of Generative AI in legal practice, having secured grant funding to support its integration and trained practicing attorneys and professors on both the capabilities and limitations of large language models.

Greil has published scholarship on competition law, originalism, and property rights in leading law journals. He also serves as faculty advisor to the Texas Review of Law & Politics and teaches a seminar on Understanding Conservative Legal Thought

20 years ago, Lipstadt opposed an Austrian prison sentence for David Irving, a known Holocaust denier, saying she was uncomfortable with the idea of imprisoning someone for their speech.
Yet Lipstadt, arguably the best-known warrior against Holocaust denial, believes that the best outcome would be for Irving to be let go.

"I would not want to see him spend more time in jail," she says.

"I am uncomfortable with imprisoning people for speech. Let him go and let him fade from everyone's radar screens."
