London Broncos capped an incredible year by becoming the first team to break 2,000 points in a season, finishing with 2,043. They obliterated the previous record of 1,735 set by Wigan in 1994-95. Their 1,511 league points also smashed Leigh's record of 1,306 set in 2022.

Josh Charnley has now moved to within 18 tries of Ryan Hall in the all-time try scoring chart, and is closing in on joining him in the top 20 try scorers in British RL history.

An overdue update of the British RL 300 try club, following last week's achievement by Ryan Hall on hitting the even more exclusive 350 club: just the 18th man in history to do it 👏👏👏 Josh Charnley is now 29 tries behind him.

Following today's announcement about the liquidation of Salford Red Devils we await news of any 'phoenix club' taking their place in next years' competitions. This will be judged on its merits but precedent is that any such club will be considered a continuation of the previous club.

The omission of the NSW-England wheelchair match from our website is deliberate: the game was not played to official rules, so is not considered first-class. The lack of recent internatiionals in the men's and women's game will though be rectified shortly! Watch this space :-)

@salfordreddevils.bsky.social have now used 68 players this season, which is a record for a club in the top flight. It isn't an all-time record for the pro-ranks though, and in fact there are 3 teams who have used more. London Skolars hold the record with 72 in their debut season in 2003.

Table showing most players used by professional rugby league clubs in a single season. Top ranked in London Skolars with 72 players in 2003, followed by Lancashire Lynx (71 in 2000), South Wales Scorpions (69 in 2012), with York and Salford Red Devils in joint 4th using 68 players in 2001 & 2025 respectively

With his score today Herman Ese'ese equalled the record for tries in consecutive matches by a prop in the summer era, tying Tyler Dupree's record of 6 for Oldham in 2021. The winter era is not easy to analyse at this stage, but this is likely to be an all-time record too.
