The Senate Democrats blocked the House bill on AI electricity use. Republicans say they are for consumers, Dems aren't, but the House bill would direct state utility regulators to "consider" adopting federal rules. Dems want a bill with teeth and enforcement, not faux concern.

The 5 conservatives on the SCOTUS rejected a suit over the Trump ballroom, claiming the complainants had no standing. That lawsuit was brought by the National Trust for Historic Preservation, a nonprofit chartered by Congress to guard public buildings. So it's their job.
