The afternoon's throwing and pulling. I need to replenish some mugs I sold at the most recent spring show. Mugs are very light, 3/4 lbs each. I'm letting everything form up for flipping, trimming and attaching handles.

I'm really loving this yellow iron glaze, it breaks glossy and it has a very pleasant surface.
Coffee cup, with an ochre glaze and handle.

I've been working on flower frogs, what makes them work well, what are flower arrangers looking for. I've landed on a few designs. Here is one.

I've been making bottles lately, lots of bottles. I usually make them in batches of 15 to 20 just splitting up some of my clay into 1 to 3 lb chunks and then just go forward. I've started to land on a particular bottle form not in size, but in the describable shape it takes. #pottery #bottle

Sofa fired bottle. The front side shows the soda accumulation while the back has lots of flowing patterns where the flame and soda wrapped around it. The top has a copper green glaze that partially blushed red from reduction.

@bsky.app feature request... As an artist it's great to see that you support so many aspect ratios. One thing that trips me up is the inability to compose the "thumb square" away from anything other than a centered selection. it's good to be able to recompose the image on the thumb. Thanks.

Finally got all 7 large pots from the beginning of this week trimmed. I got sidelined today when I found two water leaks under my home. We have an artesian well, the tank from which only holds 1000 gallons. Bye bye 900 gallons of water. Gotta be careful for a while now.

These pretty much look like my last post but... 3 new ones the form is starting to lock into what I'm after, 8,8,6 lbs 12+,12+ and 10+ inches resp. This form requires a touch more drying than I like before flipping, there is too much weight for that inverted turn to take.
3 tall freshly thrown bottles/vases.

Just sharing some work, this 7 inch stoneware bottle has a nice iron yellow, ochre you might say, glaze. If you take it right to cone 6 it starts breaking glossy underneath.
