Rivsky @rivs3.bsky.social · 26/07/2026Huh. Shirokuma is doing well. Let’s see how he does against a struggling Ryuden. #sumo 210
Rivsky @rivs3.bsky.social · 26/07/2026Yay, #Tamawashi !!!! He finishes the basho with 9-6 as does #Dewanoryuu #sumo 000
Reposted by Rivskysumosoul.bsky.social @sumosoul.bsky.social · 22/05/2026Day13 J14 Enhō 7-5 (L) J6 Meisei 6-6 (R) Spectacular bout! Enhō has lost 3 times straight to deprive himself of KK, and today he has to face former makuuchi Meisei to get it. You’ll watch this a few times I guarantee it #natsubasho2026 23510
Rivsky @rivs3.bsky.social · 22/05/2026If you can only watch one match from juryo today, make it the Enho v Meisei one. That was amazing. #sumo 020
Rivsky @rivs3.bsky.social · 22/05/2026I guess Nishikigi still had some left in the tank. He beats Nishinoryu in a hard-fought match that had him almost getting muscled out a few times. Great stuff! He’s 5-8 #sumo 000
Rivsky @rivs3.bsky.social · 21/05/2026Nishiki vs Tokifudou. Aw. Toki gets his kachikoshi. Nishi almost running on empty. I think at this point he only hopes to finish the basho without serious injury. #sumo 010
Rivsky @rivs3.bsky.social · 20/05/2026I am so sleepy but up next are Asanoyama and Tobizaru and both are still in it! 7-3 and 8-2, respectively. #sumo 100

Rivsky @rivs3.bsky.social · 20/05/2026Wow. Ura is the gift that keeps on giving. He will always give us entertainment, athleticism, and cuteness. He gets his kachikoshi. #sumo 000
Rivsky @rivs3.bsky.social · 20/05/2026Stayed up late to watch Tamawashi get his second win. He’s 2-9 and Kinbouzan is 5-6. #sumo 010
Rivsky @rivs3.bsky.social · 20/05/2026Ooh, that’s a fat stack of envelopes for Mitakeumi. #sumo He improves to 6-5, not bad. 000
Rivsky @rivs3.bsky.social · 20/05/2026Should’ve known Shodai would beat Kirishima. Throwing a wrench into frontrunners’ plans is his specialty. 😁 #sumo 010
Rivsky @rivs3.bsky.social · 20/05/2026Hokutofuji and Takarafuji are guest commentators on Abema. I miss them on the dohyo. Taka is still delightfully round while Hoku looks to have lost some weight. He looks younger #sumo 000
Rivsky @rivs3.bsky.social · 20/05/2026Awww, Sadanoumi. It’s hard not to root for the guy. He’s up there in age too with Tamawashi. #sumo 000
Rivsky @rivs3.bsky.social · 20/05/2026Hm… I’m tempted to call it for Takerufuji but when in doubt, a torinaoshi works too. It was so close! 100

Rivsky @rivs3.bsky.social · 20/05/2026Oh, no. That fall did not look good for Hakuyozan’s already banged up knees. I hope he can get through the tournament okay. #sumo 010
Rivsky @rivs3.bsky.social · 20/05/2026Yay Nishikigi! 🎉 He moves up to 4-7 and Tohakuryu goes 5-6. #sumo 000
Rivsky @rivs3.bsky.social · 20/05/2026Midorifuji bulldozing over Tamashoho! Tama shouldn’t have pulled. #sumo 000
Rivsky @rivs3.bsky.social · 20/05/2026There was a split second where Kazekenou almost had his back to Enho but he was quick on his feet. I have faith that E will get kachikoshi but today’s not the day. #sumo 000
Rivsky @rivs3.bsky.social · 15/05/2026Meisei… I hope his leg/knee is okay. That looked awful, how he fell on it. Shonannoumi now at 3-3. #sumo 000
Rivsky @rivs3.bsky.social · 15/05/2026Now I see why Kazekenou has yet to lose. That was wild against Kayou. #sumo 010
Rivsky @rivs3.bsky.social · 15/05/2026Hey! Endo is doing really well at J14! How exciting. When I first started watching #sumo, he was in makuuchi. I hope makes it back. 200
Rivsky @rivs3.bsky.social · 15/05/2026Oof, Nishikigi at 1-4 and Tochitaikai a whole 10 years younger. Come on, Nishi! #sumo 100
Rivsky @rivs3.bsky.social · 14/05/2026I wouldn’t mind a Kirishima yusho. That was a great show of strength from both him and Hiradoumi. #sumo 000
Rivsky @rivs3.bsky.social · 14/05/2026Up next, two baby-faced rikishi: Oho and Kotoshoho. I want Oho to win but I see Koto needs a win more. #sumo 100
Rivsky @rivs3.bsky.social · 14/05/2026Well, I’m used to Shodai underperforming in the first week. This is nothing. #sumo 000
Rivsky @rivs3.bsky.social · 14/05/2026Whoa, Ura! You can’t be on your phone during an Ura bout. Anything can and will happen. 😆 Ura improves to 3-2. #sumo 000
Rivsky @rivs3.bsky.social · 14/05/2026I keep forgetting Hakuoho is Hakunofuji now. Didn’t expect Shishi to win this one. #sumo 000
Rivsky @rivs3.bsky.social · 22/03/2026I wish I spoke Japanese, if only to understand in real time what Kirishima’s saying. I only got he’s “ureshii” then something about his daughter. #sumo #japanese 000
Rivsky @rivs3.bsky.social · 22/03/2026Aw.. that tiny man handing over the humongous cup to Kirishima could fit in the cup. #sumo 010
Rivsky @rivs3.bsky.social · 22/03/2026Aonishiki is so young. He’ll rest, heal, come back stronger and hopefully improve. He is not the first ozeki to be kadoban and he won’t be the last. #sumo 030
Rivsky @rivs3.bsky.social · 22/03/2026The Yokozuna ends this basho at 11-4 while Aonishiki is kadoban next basho at 7-8. #sumo 010
Rivsky @rivs3.bsky.social · 22/03/2026Impressive and great balance, the both of them. Maybe a little bit more for Aonishiki since he’s injured. #sumo 000
Rivsky @rivs3.bsky.social · 22/03/2026I forgot about Aonishiki. I was wondering who else was left for Hoshoryu to fight. Ao needs the win for kachikoshi, to stave off a kadoban and Hosh needs to win for Yokozuna pride. #sumo 000
Rivsky @rivs3.bsky.social · 22/03/2026Aww… pretty sure that’s not how Kirishima would have wanted to end the basho but a yusho is a yusho. He’s 12-3 and Kotozakura finishes with a 10-5. #sumo 020
Rivsky @rivs3.bsky.social · 22/03/2026Yay,Takayasu! 🎉 Anyway, Atamifuji already has kachikoshi. Taka ends the basho with 7-8 and Atamin is at 9-6. #sumo 030
Rivsky @rivs3.bsky.social · 22/03/2026Cool flip from Walamotoharu to avoid injury. He ends the basho at 3-12. #sumo 000
Rivsky @rivs3.bsky.social · 22/03/2026Whoa, Fujinokawa! 🤯 That was Ura levels of amazing. He gets his kachikoshi and Oho ends the tournament at 7-8. #sumo 000
