We’ve learned a ton this year and can’t wait to make next one even better.

Your feedback was awesome. Creators loved having a chill spot to learn, grab lunch, and connect with other creators and brands rooting for their success. Huge thanks to Raredrop for partnering with us on our shared vision of making @gcxevent.bsky.social more than just a vacation.

Now that we’ve caught up on some post-GCX rest, we want to say thanks to all the creators, industry folks, and speakers who made this year’s Creator Lounge so special. Over two days, we dove into finance, legal, audio, interactivity, the creator economy, and more.

Thank you so much for seeing that. It's really important that people understand we are not an AI auto-clipper. We do our best to make recommendations, but by no means want to take away creative choice from creators.

010

Rivr @rivr.stream · 21/02/2025

You're correct! But we're not offering 2 months of storage. We're helping people mike highlights while they are blocked from doing so on Twitch until they are below the limit. The ideal remedy for most people is to download everything and store it locally, like we show in the guide.

My DMs are open if you have questions, and we've created a guide on how to download your Twitch highlights: rivr.stream/blog/rivr-gu... -@MarcFromRivr CXO, Co-founder

Rivr - Revolutionary in-media search for creators and brands

Turn video into searchable experiences. Discover and share your best Moments.

Rivr @rivr.stream · 21/02/2025

For existing users: We're expediting a feature that ensures your content remains accessible in Rivr even if Twitch removes it. We'll need time to figure out the long-term storage policy, but given today's news, we believe it's critical to make sure your content never just disappears.

171

Rivr @rivr.stream · 21/02/2025

Think of it as having a dedicated editor who watches every second of your streams and knows exactly which moments will make great clips.

151

Rivr @rivr.stream · 21/02/2025

What is Rivr? Rivr helps creators instantly find the most engaging moments across all their streams. Instead of spending hours manually scrubbing through VODs, our platform analyzes your content and surfaces the highlights that will resonate most with your audience.

151

Rivr @rivr.stream · 21/02/2025

At minimum, this ensures you can keep creating highlights from your new content while you figure out your archiving strategy.

151

Rivr @rivr.stream · 21/02/2025

So here's what we're doing to help: If you’re stuck above the storage limit, share a screenshot of your overage with us, and we’ll give you 2 months of automatic VOD analysis and storage in Rivr. No strings attached.

Rivr @rivr.stream · 21/02/2025

While we can't completely fix this situation, we can at least ensure you don't miss capturing new memories while dealing with this crisis.

151

Rivr @rivr.stream · 21/02/2025

To every creator affected: I know this is causing real stress and anxiety. You shouldn't have to frantically download years of content with no warning. You shouldn't have to choose between preserving your history and being able to highlight new moments.

151

Rivr @rivr.stream · 21/02/2025

I get it. Storage costs are real. Running a large-scale platform requires tough decisions. We'd hope to see a plan in place with features to help creators move their content to a new home.

151

Rivr @rivr.stream · 21/02/2025

What's particularly frustrating is that creators who are over the limit can't create new highlights from their streams until they delete enough content to get under the cap.

161

Rivr @rivr.stream · 21/02/2025

I spent yesterday reading through tweets from creators who are watching years of their history vanish. Not just content—but memories, milestones, and moments that helped build communities. 🧵
