Gawy!!!! The kids reactions to Gear Guard are so funny. Even two years later it doesn't get old. @Rivian Ghostbusters mode was made for kids young and old!

Monster Mash Teddy loves the @Rivian Ghostbusters mode playing mallow mash. Listen to him squeal 'GARY!!' 😂

Take A Hint - @Rivian edition For this hint, we chose our favorite 360 surround view with Slimer checking out the car.

Take A Hint I've been reading the @Rivian Halloween mode hints on the Ghostbusters screen and trying to figure it out with the kids. Is this the Rivian Assistant?

Camp Mode has the ecto R1S in the Ghostbusters Halloween mode but not much happening. Then again kids found more stuff when I let them lose.

Finer Touches There's the screen in the console for the 2nd row of our R1S and R1T our kids love to watch in Ghostbusters mode. Slimer, marshmallow men and other characters flying around.

"Happy Halloweenie!" -Teddy @Rivian R1S Gen 2 got flagged! 75 minutes to update is longer than usual? Looking forward to the shared @Google calendar improvements on the assistant.

The @Rivisn R1S. Gen 2 got it's update. Come on Gen 1...Mevie needs her Halloween costume. It took longer than average to update but three summary screens. I hope it's just an epic movie theme!

Pays to Read Our local library has free level charging. It's a nice perk especially if you're spending a few hours researching or just picking out a book.

Prime Numbers Amazon has the @chargepointnet homeflex chargers (J1772) on sale with a coupon ($466). The 14-50 plug in has been solid and the cable can be swapped whenever we go to NACS. We're also using the city and utility incentives to bring that cost down further.

I keep getting teased for the @Rivian Halloween mode.

Both kids are loving @ClassCrunchLabs with @MarkRober. The latest episode on making a mag lev train and understand magnetic fields with experiments you can do at home. It keeps their attention and doesn't lose Ted's at 6 yrs old. youtu.be/HGqavQQ_rZA?...

BOLO Waze layer in @Rivian update 2026.31 has been pretty accurate for us. On this trip we found police assistance on the highway about a mile before we saw them. It helps to get over sooner having that notification.

Stephanie @rivianmom.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

Kids love watching @MarkRober and @crunchlabs. They showed the kid car wash and kids wanted the @Fridababy toothbrush. It helps them brush the full 2 minutes without me nagging. The color changing light keeps them brushing and stops after 2 minutes. The light stays red for parents to see.

Frunk Wars @Rivian R1 Gen 2 frunk is slightly smaller than Gen 1. Gen 2 added a heat pump and updated HVAC so it went from 11.1 cubic feet to 9.9. Jo's review is not as comfy as Mevie with all the bumps. Same button for the emergency frunk release. a.ml

Talk of the Town Nobody in the neighborhood really thought twice of our @Rivian R1S until Halloween. The kids loved the Halloween costume. They brought back friends and parents to hear and see the lights. This was my favorite costume reaction.

Swap shop Thank you @Elevert16 for the @Rivian Boston and Miami space shirts! I thought I'd never get these since I usually go west to visit family but swapping space shirts with friends made it possible. I love how Boston has Rivian written out in the front too.

Jo & Ted: Lucid!!! We saw our first @LucidMotors Gravity in KC at Jo's softball game. They liked the low profile for easier entry and were surprised it could get lower. I think we're going to see more around soon.

Kids (not just @Hilbe) can easily climb the brush guard to get into the Rivian R1T frunk. We use it reach the bottom of the frunk. Jo thought it was fun.

FREEBIRD! Jo and I had a moment. I had Skynyrd playing in the truck as I'm cleaning it out at the 5 minute guitar solo. Jo: What song are you playing? Me: (stopped, stared straight in her little eyes with a serious voice) Freebird, hun, Freebird. Jo: I like that guitar. Me: hell yeah you do.

The @Rivian R1T and R1S frunks auto open and close on the Rivian app.....if your kids don't leave items flowing over in the frunk.

For young families, carseats can make or break a vehicle as an option. Luckily @LucidMotors Air can fit 3 car seats across (forward or rear facing) on the second row.

When you try to get the perfect triple @Rivian picture (EDV, R1T, R1S) and Mevie's potato camera isn't playing along.

Adapt and React @Rivian Gen 2 R1S and R1T were the first vehicles in America fitted with adaptive headlights. Great for this time of year as the days get shorter. Certain pixels turn off around and follow traffic.

Cover Charge We're thinking about taking our @Rivian R1T MEVCO quad large on a long trip. Is it worth getting the powered tonneau cover with cash/no rewards? Rivian offers a two year warranty on the gear shop but we're wondering how it holds up in extreme weather (heat, cold, ice, snow, etc).

Our @Rivian R1S Gen 2 got the OS 2 update Friday evening. We're out of town, car unplugged from charger and didn't return until Tuesday evening. We discovered Sterling was sending data to Rivian after 5 days and 4 nights locked in our garage. Nothing registered on gear guard. Seems odd.
