I read a post on Twitter an hour ago that crowed about the numbers turning out today and how the Democrats really came out. Due respect, those were AMERICANS of every variety and flavor that showed up. Bless them all!

I did for five years in college! Vas-y!

Moodle wouldn't do that to you! (Blackboard is a database, not a learning tool.) 😊

I like how we're preparing for the next pandemic, personally. We're so fucked.

Oh goodness! How miserable. I hope it clears up.

We're spoiled, for sure, with soft clothes!

Right -- timing is always subject to a variety of constraints, whether you're hosted (as we are) or self-hosting. I've been luxuriating in an actual winter break for the first time in ages because we weren't upgrading this year. This block of time is the only time we don't have classes all year. :-)

It always slays me how long it takes some people to notice really major changes! Speaking of marking and changes, we just added the "Grade me" block plugin and deployed it in course shells for the new term starting Monday! Should be fun to hear reactions.

What are you going to do? It makes you wonder if they involve any actual users in the conversation.....! We'll likely jump to 4.5 next, but it may be a while before we get there due to some other changes. I'll keep an eye on assignments for sure! :-)

You can always freeze-dry your clothes outside!

Honest to God, the first time I got cable was spring of 1986. I turned on MTV and Money for Nothing was the very first music video I ever saw! I called my boss and told her I just wanted to stay home the next day and watch MTV! Still crazy about Dire Straits after all these years. 😍

Here in Eagle Point we're measuring visibility in double digit feet this morning as opposed to fractions of miles! Soupy out!

I loved the time the Indians all showed up with their socks pulled up outside their pants in honor of his birthday! Those were good days. 😍 (And one of the benefits of spending 12 years in exile in NE Ohio.)

I've had my students do this in small groups on big white boards, then we do a gallery walk as they walk us through their analogies for what we learned together. They're always amazed at how much they've learned.

Teaching project management, everyone's favorite discussion forum topic is project management at the movies -- describing a movie that illustrates good (or bad!) PM concepts.

It would be fun to examine this with students -- clearly, only the French are sophisticated (and I'd be hard pressed to disagree, but still!). 🇫🇷 😊

No worries, it was still understandable! I'm finding myself much more likely to comment or post here than I ever did over there. It just feels safer. And people following back is a whole new experience! Very friendly. 😍

I always had my project management students create mind maps in small groups on big white boards the last night of class. It was great for all of us to reflect on everything they learned! And they came up with some amazing visual analogies. (We also captured recommendations for future students.)

Amen! One of my favorite culminating activities for my project management course was having small groups create mind maps of what they'd learned the last night of class. So gratifying!
