I may have underestimated the size of the little one’s new toy compared to her. #YorkiesOfBluesky
An alpaca stuffed toy next to a Yorkie; with the alpaca being almost 1/3 taller. Both are on a puffy leather chair looking straight at the camera. A stuffed bear sits next to the Yorkie, looking incredulously at the size difference.

Ain’t it sad that there’s a section in a book store dedicated to literary works? But isn’t it also awesome that the store said: Shove it?

Yesterday I dedicated time to going through things with purpose. I’ve taken things to storage, but other things will stay with me. Then I remembered a conversation we had about the stores of yesteryear and came across one of those reminders. #Woodies

To say D.C. has screwed up the response to the snow and sleet, is being polite. I know some are getting used to lies from the Federal gov’t, but to have local gov’t, via the Department of Public Works, tell you they’ve plowed, when you can visually see they haven’t, is just stupefyingly bonkers.

Against this visual, Frederick Douglass said it best.
If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

Ok. So I’m a huge believer in supporting places that enrich the understanding of where we are now as a nation — as how we got here, whether it’s by becoming member or giving random donations. BUT…look at the cute little lamb they give you at #MountVernon with a membership. I’ve named him Lambiel. 🐑

So here’s my predicament for the next three weeks, most likely five…these Tom Ford glasses lost a nose pad. I ordered replacements but they don’t fit. So, I’m either going to MacGyver what I have or go padless. I’ve dealt with these so much, I’m not taking them anywhere anymore. Never buy Tom Fords!

I do miss the nice warm yellow lights in the escalators, though. Now, it feels like I’m ascending into corporate nirvana — or I guess that should be descending into hell.
Angled shot of the escalators, with bright white lights, from the left looking dowanward, of the Woodley-Park Metro Station. At the bottom, there are a few individuals as they approach the end of the escalators, and walk onto the platform where the payment kiosks are. There’s a slight warm light color at that level. The walls of the tunnel are lit up by reflected light and the texture is rough, but smooth, as it is concrete.
