Finally got myself a pair of Philips Fidelio X2HR headphones and I like them so far Build quality is top notch. I was skeptical about the sound at first but after I gave myself time to adjust I really started to like how they sound. They play loud enough out of a DSi. No need for an amp.

My Wii copy of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed is being very stubborn for some reason, the rip speed keeps falling from 3000 KB/s down to 50 or 100, the disc has a few scratches, so maybe that's the problem? Other discs rip just fine. It reassuringly doesn't stop completely though, just slows down

Yeah it's almost as if there has been a better type of player available on the optical media market for the last 20 yrs that is fully backwards compatible with DVD and offers support for a better format as well and it's very cheap too... It's like being upset that Intel no longer makes the i7 7700k

Xbox really liked doing it with multi-disc games or bundle on the 360, they would put 2 DVDs on top of each other in an annoying tall spindle case instead of having an insert. Halo 3 & ODST even came stacked on a 3 DVD spindle. Which is a shame, because otherwise I like those game bundles.

One minor gripe is that manufacturers keep cheaping out and just stack as many DVDs as they can instead of getting a proper 4 DVD box Both of the Paramount box sets came in those, 4 DVDs crammed into a 3 DVD tall spindle case and then kept together with a foam insert. Had to buy new cases for those.

Box sets can be a bit silly, for instance I own two Paramount DVD box sets, one of which makes sense, it's 4 Spielberg films grouped together. The other one feels like 4 random movies thrown together under a "drama" banner (I guess they couldn't call it romance because they included The Truman Show)

I do like box sets, they contain multiple discs really make you feel like you're buying something of value The Cornetto trilogy is the first Blu-ray I have ever bought and it's a really incredible thing to own, with all the insane bonus features and more commentary tracks than you have ever seen

I keep both I got a DVD of Promare as bonus with another anime, and that disc had bonus features that my Blu-ray for some reason didn't have I bought a two-disc Blu-ray case since my original Promare case was one of those cheap crap tall spindle ones and put the DVD into the Blu-ray case.
