(I do not suggest Button Quail as a pet unless you are able to hatch them and socialize constantly. Mine were already mature when I got them and they did not care for us at all as they are naturally skittish ground birds. I just gave them the best life from a distance)

Doc Brown (button quail) passed away 😭 he was the one I figured would outlive all the rest bc he decided to scalp himself a week into owning him. He did live a whole year and a half longer than he was supposed to tho!! Now, just Blue is left 😭

It's always interesting, & worth reflecting on, where you have had blinders on or gaps in your ethics. I've been a huge Pink fan forever. But chopped some things up to "a different time" & "there's been growth". Just excuses, really. I'm so disappointed in what I'm learning about now. Just sucks.
