i haven't finished. but it is HARD. been having great discussions about how maybe whiteness still being centered is the point. but the Afro-futurism i want to read. and no real characterization of Black women besides being mules for men and biracials lol. nope.

give it a try! peers have said it's a real look at how long it may take the white gaze to disappear, even after white people do. (it's only been 1 year in the book) and how whiteness/racialized power takes root in biracial people. see for yourself. but KNOW it's not a uptopia void of whiteness
