I won a Melee local yesterday! Listening to the way a lot of players talked, I was reminded that 1) many of these competitors are quite young, and 2) they're still figuring out who they are. What a thing to have competitive Melee during that time in one's life.

The more clothes I have, the more I believe that you don't need so much to build a wardrobe that really reflects and serves you. Sometimes it just takes a lot of iteration to figure out what really feels right and works in your daily life. These are my only two remaining shirts

It makes no sense that a cashmere blend zip-up is $600 (too much) and a 100% wool Italian-made herringbone overcoat is $1200 (actually a pretty good price! The KS traveler coats are $1400 this year!) Was fully expecting the latter to he $2k based on the former

I've been itching to learn how to sew. Last night my fiance taught me to sew buttons so I could spruce up these thrifted Brunello trousers (maybe the best vintage deal I've found because they're basically in perfect condition except the now-fixed Brunello-branded buttons)!

Can't stop thinking about this denim jacket someone stop me... It's Iron Heart which is a Japanese brand designed with motorcyclists in mind and famed for using really heavy denim. I'm sort of obsessed with their "overdye" which is regular raw indigo double-dipped in black dye for looking extra cool

Denim on denim!! Such a sick cropped type 2 jacket from Japanese streetwear brand "Neighborhood." Distressing on it is really nice and it's the softest denim I've ever felt. Naturally it was hella $$ so I did not cop.... Not today.....

This is LITERALLY called the Junebug jacket. It's inspired by beetle iridescence. It comes with a mosquito hood (to protect me from my lifelong adversaries). Please tell me not to purchase this. I am a consumerism menace but I'm trying to do better. Yes I am also getting Junebug(Melee)'s hoodie.

Craig Anthony Miller is a prolific artist who paints hundreds (thousands?) of elephants in this stained-glass style. I had the pleasure of speaking with him a couple months ago at his studio. We talked about how Ganesh fits into his work. You can find his art all over Dumbo in Brooklyn.

Diljit Dosanjh paid tribute to the Maharaja of Patiala with his outfit and jewelry at the Met Gala. The original Patiala Necklace was commissioned from and is now under the stewardship of Cartier, who allowed a white influencer to wear it at the Met in 2022. But they denied Diljit the necklace 🤔

My fiancé wanted to avoid leavened bread for Passover, and for Vaisakhi (Indian harvest) it's traditional to eat makki ki roti and sarson ka saag. The former is unleavened bread made with cornmeal (pictured). Just a nice little discovery for our multicultural family!!
