I Disney Princessed up more wilderness friends (I have befriended the local crows and a pair of ravens who seem to think I'm okay). I was serving up peanuts to the crows and jays, and saw the squirrel trio come bouncing over, immediately followed by a new player: A hawk.

Crows and jays were having nothing to do with it and took off. The hawk sat in the low branches of a tree watching and watching... and the squirrels were of course, freaked out.

Eventually two of them chased each other around and around the trunk of the tree, and the smallest one decides this is a great time to make a break for those tasty peanuts he's been eyeballing. Hawk: Swoop. Trio no more! The duo sat perfectly still on a branch for 10 minutes after the murder of their companion.

Playing with/learning to do things in Unreal Engine and its cursed editor. I made a ball to throw around that is spawned as a temporary object with a velocity vector. *81* lines of C++ NOT counting comments and empty lines. I am now convinced UE is the cause of psychosis in the games industry.

So! I enslaved CoPilot in Visual Studio to GPT-5 to bludgeon Unreal Engine as my first real AI-assisted coding project. Can confirm: AI writes ugly code. 🤮 But it's great being able to type "What the fuck is this?" when the cognitive weapon that is UE&VS attacks with eldritch error codes.

AirPods Pro 3 look lovely, but Apple f'ing burned me on the AirPods Pro I wasted $200 on before, so as much as I generally like Apple and have iThings galore, I will never buy AirPods again. Basically, had them serviced via a program to address the crackling issue so many people were having. ⬇️

Neat! The last Apple Watch update enabled the blood oxygen sensor. Doesn’t look like they settled the patent case, so I guess they worked around it. This of course happens like a week after I bought a standalone pulse-ox meter. At least it was only $20.
