yo-kai watch is an oddball in the sense that it doubles down so hard on characterizing it's monsters to the point where you're moreso managing them in battle than actually controlling them, it sounds annoying on paper but it works really well in practice (if a bit passive at times)

i had a dream where i played a pokemon rom hacks with undertale spare mechanics and for some reason simisear and simipour got ultimate evolutions at the cost of the pansage line being eradicated from existence

two sketches of pokemon i saw from my dream

on the left is simichasm, a water/dark type simipour evolution with darker colors, glowing eyes, a melting dress, a black hand on it's tail and watery tendrils taking the form of it's hair. below it the text reads:
"has 0 base defense and 152 base special attack. signature move was abyssal chasm which was a water type move that had 200 BP and hit twice. evolved by having simipour hold the "extra ball" at night."

on the right is "simisage", though i prefer the name simisauna, a fire/ground evolution of simisear with faded colors, a straw hat with a red feather on top, stubble and chest hair, a bath towel and two massive fluffy tails. the text below it reads "had 0 in both attack stats. could put enemies to sleep and "pacify" them with increased priority the next turn. had a pokedex entry that read like "Simisage appears differently to those at different stages of their life. If it appears to you with two tails, it means you are satisfied with your life. If it has none... get help." it evolves by having simisear hold the StrawHat during daytime."

this is what every seam interaction feels like now

deltarune "fanart".

on the left, seam is jangling a chime with w.d. gaster's likeness on it, saying "I said your favorite word. W.D. Gaster. Dingle dangle!"

on the right, a tiny vessel in the depths being looked at from above has it's attention drawn by the cat's vagueposting.

many are saying “bro the knight isn’t even flower level” but have you considered that Orange Dark World (with yummies) is just the strongest character in the whole game?
