Elle is the little spoon, adrift in a balm of mint and rain and oak wood, awash in the whisper of the voice she loves above all others, calling her his heart. She sucks in a sharp breath as Solas slides his hand down to her stomach. His touch tingles, and she twitches self-consciously when his fingers spread wide across her belly. But, much to her delight, he whimpers and presses his palm flat to pull her close enough to feel how much he likes it.
Elle smiles and can sense Solas smiling too, crushing his pretty cock, as hard as dragon bone, between them. He's home.
"Solas?"
"I am here, Elle," he breathes, hot against her shoulder, kissing and nipping and tugging tenderly at her skin with his teeth.
Where the fuck has he been? What took him so long?
She doesn't need to wonder because she knows.
She's been keeping tabs since he left, and should be furious, but his tongue grazes the back of her neck, and her body buzzes, hot and pink and needy. She'll kill him if he stops.

The Dread Wolf was lonely. He’d spent the last few years gathering his agents; training them, preparing them for the subterfuge and battles to come. It was a role he’d played before and despised, but his duty to his people and to Mythal demanded it…or so he told himself. His past failures, an ever present poison, peeling away at his self-worth and spurring him on his ruinous path. Trapped by his guilt in an almost endless cycle of mistakes only he could fix. But, of course, he had failed…again.
