Update! Doing okay. I'm still very sad, but I had 2 years of anticipory grief to prepare me, so it's been a lot of tears, but a lot of finally moving forward. It was one of the hardest things I've ever done, but I don't regret it. now it's time to start moving on and taking him with me.

I think the hardest part is watching my dad, who has terminal cancer, lose his parents. His mom and his dad. I'm not sure what to do for him or what to say. I've been his little shadow but he's going places I can't follow without his permission. I'm so far away I wish I could be there
