There is a massive gen AI problem in the psychobilly scene. Like, a monstrous amount being used by the fans. Haven't seen any other genre come close to that output, not even pop or country

Legit just saw someone arguing that since electronic music has always included samples, AI shouldn't count as theft 😭 begging yall to get brains. Like, actual grey matter

"everyone has their time to pass on" okay but does it always have to be the worst fucking time, though?

This is a joke, I wasn't trying to eat cement mix. I promise 👀

River A @riodeoof.bsky.social · 26/08/2026

This day and age is really infuriating, bc if you ask a question on the Internet people just get snarky and go "google is free," but then you ask google and it's like "yeah, of COURSE you can eat cement mix, stupid"

The Legend of Aang fucking sucked and I'm not afraid to say it 😜

Convinced that lots of these bot accounts around social media are programmed to churn out leftist slop just to muddy the waters, decrease trust, and increase infighting

"oh, that's just autism" people reply whenever I describe my ADHD symptoms 🙄😤 Like, I get that they're compatible opposites but boy it'd be nice if people didn't just project onto me or act like the two things are interchangeable while being dismissive and unhelpful

Judging everyone who uses AI "because it's fast" for failing the marshmallow test

I sure love it when I type "its" and my phone autocorrect, which is *supposed* to be off, changes it to "it's," only to underline it to tell me it's incorrect. Like yeah, bitch, that's why I typed that in the first place 😤

And finally, enough with the companion being a young girl from modern England. There is an entire universe to explore, we can't get someone from the past or the future to be the companion? Or an alien? Or anyone but a young British girl? It's been so overdone that it's woefully uninteresting.

As for the actual showrunner, we need new blood. Sure, continuity is important, but lately it's been less new stories and more writing fanfiction based on old ones. Easter eggs and references are cool, but that shouldn't be the*plot.* (+)

along the way. Meanwhile, Moffat was terrible at the overarching "mystery box" but does sooo well with the small buts and character development. It's clear neither he nor RTD should ever run the show again, but being involved still would be perfect (+)

River A @riodeoof.bsky.social · 30/07/2026

Jodie's run wasn't the answer either. Need something in the middle. Next, bring back Moffat, but NOT as showrunner. The reason the early seasons of the revival worked so well was RTD is great at coming up with overarching plot and themes, but terrible at the minutia and character development (+)

River A @riodeoof.bsky.social · 30/07/2026

Next, fire Murray Gold. Don't get me wrong, he is an excellent composer. But he's run out of strong themes and melodies for the show and instead just makes every single thing overly bombastic, and his stuff just doesn't fit the show anymore. The guy doing stripped down, CW quality stuff for (+)

This way you can keep Billie Piper for an episode without doing a complete retcon, and have extra time to shop the full role to someone for the next full series. It would also be a great opportunity to get some fandom favorite fancasts (like Michael Sheen) in the role for a short time. (+)

River A @riodeoof.bsky.social · 30/07/2026

Next, to address the Billie Piper thing, do a run of 3-5 specials when you return instead of a full season. Have the Doctor stuck in a Regeneration Loop, where a different actor plays them each episode, solving the episode's mystery before regenerating into the next actor (+)

How to fix Doctor Who 🧵 . . To start, more episodes but a lower budget. Like the good old days. We don't need stunning effects, just a good story and good actors, with more time to actually tell the attempted story each season (+)

This morning in Biddeford, Maine, a 26-year-old man said goodbye to his wife and daughter and left for work. Moments later he was dead, shot in the head by ICE agents, the second man ICE has killed in six days. ICE is killing our neighbors. ICE cannot be reformed. Abolish ICE.

Being smack in the middle of the country is fun sometimes bc I just saw one band listing Denver on their West Coast Tour, and another listing us on their East Coast Tour

Hot take: The Boys had a great finale, y'all are just so entrenched in the meme culture of shitting on finales following GoT and Stranger Things that you crucify anything that wasn't in your vision for clout.

New PIG album is a big letdown after the perfection that was Red Room. This just sounds very cut/paste for them. Like, you could pick any of these songs and it epitomizes the PIG sound while not standing out in the slightest

I had 3-4 ask me right before She Wants Revenge the other night and like... I've been standing here since there were 30 people in the room for the first act. Now there's over 1000 people here and you think you can just take my spot because you're short and late?

Tired of short girls at concerts getting there right before the headliner and then going "hey, I'm short, can I switch with you in the front row?" Like sorry, but no. I've been here for hours. I know I'm tall, I know that sucks for you, but also you should have gotten here sooner 🤷‍♀️

some absolutely superb low-end and beats that made my spine tremble, and fantastic stage presence from everyone involved. Sam and Gaelle of Ultra Sunn were absolutely delightful and lovely people, too!

Setlists for the debut show from The System Dreams Of You and Ultra Sunn in Denver. Someone else had the Ultra Sunn setlist and let me take a picture. The show itself was excellent. Crystal clear vocals that were almost identical to the album while still definitely being real live vox, +

How many shitlibs does it take to change a lightbulb? We'll never know. They'll all deliberate for months on how to change it, if it really needs to be changed, have a couple of "protests" against the dead bulb where you're NOT ALLOWED TO CHANGE IT! And then they'll vote against changing it.

I don't think i like a single one of the Royal & The Serpent tracks out for her new album. She has like 7/16 released or something and just... Girl, hard miss Enough with autotuned pop ballads, go back to political and queer tinged pop punk
