Heads up: if you enrol or update your details [ vote.nz ] after TOMORROW 4th of Oct your vote will be a Special vote. These have to be witnessed by another enrolled person (so they take a wee bit longer to cast) AND counted after Election Night (so take 3 weeks longer to be added to the tallies).

I can’t speak for NZ’s electoral history, but can authoritatively say that nothing like what I'm studying at present around the far-right's influence operations, coordinated messaging, & related funding (propped by billionaires) was this evident in the lead up to the 2023 general election. #nzpol

Ay?? I had to check I'd heard them right... The Spinoff paid Curia to do their polling for their Mt Albert debate (live now). I would love some more information on how they are certain that "there is no Taxpayers’ Union involvement in this poll."

A note: The Spinoff really wanted to poll Mt Albert. We reckon it’s a key seat to watch this election, and as residents in the electorate, we’re super . Some months ago, we spoke to a range of polling companies about what we wanted and when and it was Curia who could deliver all the elements. Curia has proven an accurate polling company over many years, it follows the ESOMAR/ICC Code of Practice and the NZ Political Polling Code, and polls for a number of organisations, including National, and most recently, Whakaata Māori. There is no Taxpayers’ Union involvement in this poll.
