I sometimes go days without talking to anyone but my dog and despite the fact that she's a poor conversationalist, I still enjoy her company more than I enjoy the company of most people. Plus she's just the cutest little baby.

I don't talk about this much, but my mom was diagnosed with early-onset FTD a few years ago and it's been hard. She used to say, in her most stereotypical Jewish Mother voice "call your mother, she's very worried." and I would, often. But not today. If you still talk to your mom, take her advice.

I haven't talked about it much here, but my mom was diagnosed with bvFTD. I showed her Starways yesterday and how the art is inspired by her paintings. And for just a moment, there was a spark of recognition. "This is beautiful, Riley. I'm so proud of you". I miss my mom. But this is for her.
