I know I’m being very negative about the Zelda remake but it’s just baffling to me that people really want to act like the issues I have with it are stupid or wrong when it’s so glaringly obvious that they aren’t as concerned about preserving the artistic vision of the original

000

The areas that had vibrant rich colors now have bland greys and desaturated greens, wooden ladder puzzles get replaced with stone eye puzzles that look clunky and out of place. But thank god we get to see the individual fibers in link’s overdesigned outfit that’s exactly what the original lacked!

000

Every time I see the game my opinion gets worse and worse, yes some areas are very pretty, but the game lost all visual identity the original had, which the 3ds remake did a pretty decent job keeping. Young link looks nothing like young link and dark, gritty areas are bright and cheerful looking

100

I hate to say it but if you’re excited for the ocarina of time remake and think it’s a good representation of the original you just care more about pretty graphical upgrades than artistic vision in a game. This remake is sacrificing so much of the original style of the game for the sake of realism

110

Castle town is really the only part that looks good, kokiri looks TERRIBLE just so bland and foggy and looks so much like a generic UE5 game. The trailer looks cool but apart from cinematic shots of link the game seems lackluster and far short of my hopes for a 40th anniversary celebration of Zelda.

Sorry to harp on it and sound so negative but the game is just NOT doing it for me. Link is way over designed and yet his face looks like a porcelain doll, sheik lost his androgyny(saying he because sheik is referred to as he not her), only redesign I like is ganon.

140

Won’t lie my opinion on the OoT remake keeps shifting but I just saw side by sides and yes the remake has some really high quality graphics but a lot of the colors of the original got replaced with generic bland color choices idk. A lot of stylistic choices in the original just aren’t there anymore

130

I think the game is very pretty and I know it’ll be good because it’s ocarina but it’s hard for me to get over how out of place the characters look in the world

Ocarina looks good but the characters lowkey are the ugliest part of the game and it kinda feels like a stylistic clash between the hyper realistic setting and the cartoony looking characters. I’m sure the game will be fun but it just looks like Link Visits New Hanover

Pokemon Heart and Soul is so unbelievably fun, super excited to explore the Kanto half of the game tomorrow! I also found a full odds shiny fearow while level grinding for the e4

Hello everyone, all of my commissions are currently 50% off on Ko-Fi! If you were thinking of getting art from me, now is the best time! My medical/vet bills are about to put me in the negative, and I’m struggling to find a new job after leaving my old one because of sexual harassment from my boss

This was my first time trying to do an animated drawing like this! Ignore the funky color issues, I had to compress it a LOT for it to post on social media </3 #Furry #Fursona #Animation #Artist #DigitalArt

Apple Pencil tip please hang on we ain’t done yet

Really good test to see if a pokemon fan’s opinion is worth listening to is to ask them what they think about gen 7

Listen to literally anything else and your ears will weep tears of joy

Applying to some jobs I’m not really excited for but i need the money bad. It sucks being someone who is autistic, can’t drive because of anxiety, and can’t work full time for over a year without getting majorly depressed. Hopefully one day I’ll be able to make money doing something I love
