There's a movie coming out soon called "How to Make a Killing" that I thought was based on a musical I really love, "A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder" Turns out I'm kinda right, in that they're both sooooort of based on the same novel written in the early 1900s, neat!

The novel "Israel Rank: The Autobiography of a Criminal" went on to inspire the Musical "A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder" as well as the Film "Kind Hearts and Coronets" which in turn inspired the upcoming Film "How to Make a Killing"

The man wrote Terra as a teenager who got groomed by an old man, and in his own words, they decided that she would bear the punishment for that.

One of the primary things was that we had Deathstroke the Terminator have an affair with a minor—this is statutory rape—and the fact that she is so sociopathic. Since we knew we were planning to kill her and have her meet her deserved end, we didn't worry about what kind of moral lesson it was. She was going to be punished. Anyone who thought after seeing how truly bad she was that we would find a way of redeeming her was being a little naive. We wanted her to be as much a viper in the garden as we could.

I get more artsy and pretentious with every passing day chat (she saw Angel's Egg last week)

An edited version of the illiterate ogre meme that reads "Everyone call Ogre stupid and it true! Ogre barely even literate! Ogre finally finished watching Angel's Egg but Ogre only can identify surface level themes like self-destructive depression and unyielding hope and can't comprehend deeper ideas like whatever the fuck was going on with the spaceship that make Mamoru Oshii's movie a cult classic! Ogre so dumb, it make Ogre sad! At this rate, Ogre will never understand Ghost on the Shell!"

Chesecak 🤤🤤 The recipe called for a 9" springform pan but we only had a 7", it was Mauve's idea to put the left over graham cracker and cake batter into our cupcake molds and it worked really well!

Apparently going off the scores I give on AniList, my favorite genre of anime/manga is stories about making music. That's super surprising but actually makes a lotta sense when I think about it

A screenshot of Riley's AniList stats broken down by genre of anime. The genres are organized by mean score given, and the number one genre is "Music" featuring the movie Belle, the show Bocchi the Rock, and both seasons of Zombieland Saga.

Now to follow up that vitriol with something super self indulgent: I ranked every anime I've ever watched (as an adult) I'm only 9 episodes into Bocchi so it might move, and I haven't watched every season of Mob, JJBA, or Beastars yet, but other than that!

A tier list ranking 25 different anime. In the "9.1-10" tier is Evangelion, Erased, Loser Ranger, Scott Pilgrim, Dungeon Meshi, Death note, Spy Family, and Mob Psycho 100.
