Addition from entomologist friend:
Fun bug fact: those aren't his true feets. They’re prolegs. Which are like little appendages that come out from the larval abdomen in some butterfly/moth larvae. It’d be like if a human baby had a fleshy hand like thing come out of its belly button to help him crawl around

SometimesIAmHere (Guest) left the following comment on Meta-Analysis and the Intersection of Emotion and Risk Assessment:
This is honestly one of the best things I have read in months. The prose is so clean and sharp, it’s honestly inspiring. I’ve been recommending this to everyone I know because it just feels so authentic to the core themes. The way you handle the emotional fallout is so realistic, it makes my heart ache in the best way possible. I feel like I’m right there with them, feeling all that frustration and anger. And speaking of frustration, does anyone else feel like it’s time for someone to take a needle to those testicles? I swear, every time they’re mentioned, I just imagine a sharp needle piercing them. Just pop. It would be such a brutal, satisfying moment. I think it would really escalate the stakes if you went through with it. It’s a bit of a weird thought, I know, but I think it fits the tone you’ve established perfectly. Keep doing what you’re doing, because this is fucking phenomenal. I’ll be here waiting for the next update, probably still thinking about those testicles.

Just realized I never posted this one here!
A digital portrait of Izzy Hands from Our Flag Means Death season 2. He is facing away with his body 3/4 turned from the camera and his face downturned in profile. He is accented in golden sunlight and against a green background with black ink splotches. On it is written a poem that Con O'Neill wrote about Izzy's backstory:
I’m often asked about true love
And never really answered.
And its not because I’m running
scared
It’s cause I’m just a Bastard

You see the thing with me and love
It’s never what it seems
For some it’s flowers, hearts n stuff
And for others more obscene

See I like it dirty, nasty, crude
I like feeling used and shatterd.
And sometimes when the moon is full
I like my bollocks battered.

But sometimes I feel more inclined
to hold a hand or two.
A seafront walk, a gentle kiss, in
crimson violet hue.

I think one day, my life will show.
That love was not for fools.
It takes some guts to hold a heart
while cleaning jizz and drool.

It takes more guts to give your
soul to another without care.
And to let them lead you down a
path that you never thought you’d
dare.

Stride’ and let you soul soar free
entwine it with another.
Strike out and let your loins
exlpode...just make sure he’s not
your brother.

For sex is sex and love is love and
sometimes both combine.
And when they do ...fuck me it’s
cool, ask steak knife.... no, I
lie.

And then to me, till now, my loves
my story is untold.
I play my cards close to my chest
because I’m very old.

But if I was to say three things, a
map could soon be drawn.
My story starts the 18th year,
after the day I’m born.

A kind young man who turned my
head. And made me weak at knee.
A gentle soul who stole my heart
and in turn set me free .

A ring I had my mother's stone.
To him one day I gave. But as I
offered on that day.
My love went to his grave.

And so to sea I went to be.
A man of rage and hate.
And finding there a kindred spirit
I became his best, first mate.

With Ed the love was different our
hearts were no…
