Rik @rikohare.com · 15/09/2026And the writing-fuel machine collection expands... #writingcommunity #5amwritersclub #coffee 1110

Rik @rikohare.com · 21/08/2026Well, here's a new angle. Does anyone fall for this crap? Usual Gmail address to reply to. #writingcommunity #writerslife 051
Rik @rikohare.com · 09/08/2026Coffee & balloons in the cool of the morning. Not too shabby a start to the day. #5amwritersclub #Bristolballoonfiesta 070
Rik @rikohare.com · 07/08/2026A rather lovely skyfull of balloons this evening, counted nearly 20 so far. #bristolballoonfiesta 040
Rik @rikohare.com · 02/08/2026Another chapter done this morning. Now an afternoon of live music (and a few cheeky ciders) at the local park. Living the dream #writerslife #writingcommunity 040
Rik @rikohare.com · 18/07/2026Beautiful day at the Bristol Harbour Festival #writerslife #Bristol 060
Rik @rikohare.com · 12/07/2026Only just over halfway through this one, but it's got some good tips in it. Not sure about the title though, gotta know when to walk away. #writingcommunity #writerslife 030
Rik @rikohare.com · 06/07/2026If you liked the lived-in engineering of The Expanse or the cold scale of late Clarke, JUDGEMENT sits roughly there — a hard-SF thriller where one engineer's refusal to look away pulls a whole habitat's secret into the light. #BookSky #ScienceFiction 062
Rik @rikohare.com · 05/07/2026If you're a Kindle Unlimited subscriber, Judgement is available via your existing subscription. An easy way to try it if you've been on the fence. #BookSky #SciFi #KindleUnlimited www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0DZVYYMNS 092
Rik @rikohare.com · 29/06/2026Chief Engineer Martal Strand keeps the air breathable for the last of humanity - sealed in a spinning habitat orbiting a dead Earth, guarding half a billion embryos until the world can take them back. Then he uncovers something he shouldn't. #BookSky #SciFi 0102
Rik @rikohare.com · 28/06/2026If you've read Judgement and haven't left a review yet — even a line or two makes a real difference for an indie debut. www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0DZVYYMNS 💙📚 #BookSky #IndieAuthor 0113
Rik @rikohare.com · 22/06/2026To anyone in the UK who saw my post about wanting better weather to be able to sit in the garden and read. My sincere apologies. #amreading #writerslife 001
Rik @rikohare.com · 14/06/2026Judgement has 200,000 people living inside a rotating habitat in space. Half a billion embryos, frozen and waiting. The story starts when a chief engineer finds out someone wants to bring it all down. Out now. www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0DZVYYMNS #SciFi #SFF 030
Rik @rikohare.com · 13/06/2026...further to my last post. Mission accomplished 💙📚 #amreading #writingcommunity 010
Rik @rikohare.com · 01/06/2026If you had the power to decide humanity's future - but doing nothing was also a choice - where do you stand? That's the question at the heart of Judgement. Available now on Kindle Unlimited. 💙📚 #SFF #SciFi www.amazon.com/dp/B0DZVYYMNS 053
Rik @rikohare.com · 24/05/2026I'm loving the sunshine this weekend, but this is still my favourite spot in our garden. Quiet, cool and inspiring. #writerslife #writing community 070
Rik @rikohare.com · 18/05/2026If you're a Gareth L. Powell reader and haven't tried Judgement yet - it's in the same territory. Morally complex characters, real political stakes, a world that rewards attention. Out now. www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0DZVYYMNS #SciFi #BookSky #SpaceOpera 082
Rik @rikohare.com · 06/05/2026Found some of my old Photos hopefully creations on a hard drive today. Had fun creating this one. The source photos were all taken by me. #photoshop #fantasy 050
Rik @rikohare.com · 29/04/2026Martal Strand is not a hero in the traditional sense. But he is determined. He doesn't let himself take the easy road when his life takes an unexpected turn. That turns out to be a particular form of courage. Judgement is out now. #SciFi #ScienceFiction #BookSky buff.ly/bCFi0kn 020
Rik @rikohare.com · 21/04/2026A weekend in Malaga beckons. We're now starting the near-mythical process of 'packing the case.' All hail the case! #writerslife #writingcommunity 030
Rik @rikohare.com · 16/04/2026How the heck does a 306-page hard sci-fi novel end up in the rankings for short stories and humour? Aha, perhaps they think my writing's a joke :/ #indieauthor #writingcommunity 030
Rik @rikohare.com · 15/04/2026It's here! Judgement is out now — available in paperback, hardback and ebook. An orbital habitat. A fanatical cult. A deadly conspiracy. If you read it, I'd love to hear what you think. #SciFi #ScienceFiction #BookSky #NewRelease #DebutAuthor #IndieAuthor www.rikohare.com/novels 03612
Rik @rikohare.com · 07/04/2026No writing today, just a beautifully sunny day at Bristol Harbour side with the grandchildren. #writerslife #visitBristol 050
Rik @rikohare.com · 03/04/2026No new blogpost today (I'm not entirely sure they're worth the time writing). In the meantime, here's a photo of a Robin that's nesting in our garden. #writerslife #writingcommunity 120
Rik @rikohare.com · 25/03/2026If you like sci-fi with a slow burn conspiracy and deep, relatable characters then I wrote #Judgement for you. It's set on ELLE4: a vast orbital habitat above a frozen Earth. The world outside is gone. The one inside has secrets of its own. Out April 15. #booksky #amreading #sci-fi 0143
Rik @rikohare.com · 23/03/2026Final proofs approved and the physical formats are looking great. In just over 3 weeks time, this story won't just be mine 🙃 💙📚 #writingcommunity #scifibooks #booksky 0134
Rik @rikohare.com · 04/03/2026Surpringly cold & grey over the hill in Bath today. #writerslife #Bath 060
Rik @rikohare.com · 02/03/2026Poised and ready for a new week. I'll be focusing on the WIP I think. #writerslife 020
Rik @rikohare.com · 25/02/2026I do like a nice bookmark, the bottom design is my fave. How about you? #Authors #amreading #amwriting #booklovers #indieauthor #mustread #writerslift #bookworm #asmsg #WritingCommunity 181
Rik @rikohare.com · 16/02/2026#Judgement is set inside an O’Neill cylinder. An engineered world where humanity's survival depends on systems that can’t be allowed to fail. And now it has a cover! #writingcommunity #debutauthor #sciencefiction 1255
Rik @rikohare.com · 11/02/2026Meet my precious home barista machine. A proper bean to cup beauty which delivers gorgeous, steaming hot coffee. Want to know my guilty secret? Aldi coffee beans 😁 Sshhhhh! #writerslife #writingcommunity #coffee 010
Rik @rikohare.com · 14/01/2026In #Judgement , every single system has to work seamlessly with every other. Is that a strength, or a weakness? #booksky #scifibooks 050
Rik @rikohare.com · 09/01/2026Morning jobs all finished, time for me to settle down to an afternoon of writing - and for you to enjoy a shamelessly cute dog photo 😉 #amwriting #writerslife #writingcommunity 010
Rik @rikohare.com · 08/01/2026Homemade carrot soup and a cheeky quiche. Just right for a soon to be stormy day. #writerslife #amwriting 080
Rik @rikohare.com · 06/01/2026Don't normally like my writing space being used for storage, but today I'll let it pass ;) #writerslife #awaiting 010
Rik @rikohare.com · 02/01/2026I spent a lot of 2025 in an 18km long orbital habitat, fighting a secretive cult. In April, 2026, I hope you'll join me there. #Judgement #indieauthor #booksky #amwriting #debutauthor #scifibooks 071
Rik @rikohare.com · 29/12/2025Not for the characters, but I kept this image by Ryan Shultz in mind as I wrote about the interior of the habitat - which is called ELLE4. The cover artist starts work next month, so hopefully I can do a cover reveal at the end of Jan/early Feb #scifi #booksky 220
Rik @rikohare.com · 24/12/2025Veg prepped for tomorrow and Friday. Almost time for a well earned rest and an Xmas relax. Wishing you all the very best over Christmas. (Sorry for the crap photo). #booksky #indieauthor #writerslife 080
Rik @rikohare.com · 19/12/2025He's been sat staring at me like this for 5 minutes. It must be teatime. #dogs #englishspringer 181
Rik @rikohare.com · 12/12/2025One of the 'advantages' of being laid up in bed with flu, is I get some uninterrupted reading done (when I'm actually awake). Loving this one! #amreading #booksky 040
Rik @rikohare.com · 10/11/2025Meet Sheval Carsonn, a would-be viking living in an orbital habitat. What could possibly go wrong... #SciFi #CharacterReveal #BookCommunity #judgement 000
