So, it seems I can still get into my Sharnbrook school shirt. Last time I was wearing it was 1986, I was 16! Pretty sure I wouldn’t be able to get into the trousers though 😀 It’s the shirt that I had a whole bunch of lunatics write messages on the the end of term.

Post you from a different era. Describe that era. Sep 1992, Buckinghamshire. 22 & graduated. In a recession so couldn’t find a job, so I worked in my local boozer and lived up in the roof. Life was very good. After this I went to live in Paris and work in a bookshop.

In the ten years I have lived here in Warsaw, I’ve never seen a swan. Suspiciously though, I have seen brogue-shaped footprints by the lake, just deep enough to hold half a pint of real ale, and a vague waft of stale tobacco. The was a clue in the tread although I could quite make it out.

Because I was reminded by a conversation with @snipe.lol and @marypcbuk.bsky.social Here are my wedding vows, containing a couple of unique promises...

Kasia, I make this commitment today with my eyes and my heart open.

In the beginning there was only one simple promise, “Never lie, never cheat” I will keep that promise every day, through good times and bad

I promise to remain by your side for the rest of our lives. Even those times when we have to be apart, we will be together.

I promise to love you and to constantly find new reasons to love you, whatever the future may hold. I fought to be with you and it’s a fight I will never give up.

I will always offer you the best of myself and walk with you toward the future with hope and love in my heart.

I promise to shop for shoes and dresses with you; I promise to always give an opinion when you come out of the changing room. I understand that there can never be too many bags. I promise to share my food with you and not to be offended when you steal from my plate!

I feel ya. I uploaded a TON of demos, rare and live stuff back when the service was called iTunes Match. The slowly disappear like audio erosion. Luckily I kept the files locally. And this (books are in the two corners you can’t see :)).
