as a culture we have really given "ideas" way too much credit. ideas are a dime a dozen. they happen all the time. the magic is way more in the doing, and the doing's diminished stature is linked to lack of respect for labor and, more recently, skill and expertise.

Tighter crop of the same pika, focusing on its head.

An even tighter crop, focusing more on the pika's eye.

commission for @adomania.bsky.social, their awesome character Lirim! was an absolute pleasure to work on the details and composition of this one, thank you for commissioning me 🌌 #art

a thighs-up digital portrait of a person against the backdrop of outer space. they appear to be young adult, have pale skin and wavy dark chin-length hair, part of it dissolving into smoke. they are dressed entirely in black clothing with gold accents, including a heavy fur-collared cloak draped over their shoulders and black sunglasses that almost completely hide their eyes. behind them, on their right side, there is a giant black starry wing, held unfolded. they have a large black centipede wrapped around their shoulders, and its body curls down in a figure eight; there are more parts of this centipede visible in the picture, suggesting an infinite length. it has a starry belly and multiple eyes, including stylized images of eyes curving around its body like a hologram. it's partially supported by the hands of the person holding it, as well as another pair of hands, black, shimmery and immaterial but seemingly belonging to the same individual. one of those hands is holding up a small perfectly spherical black hole, the light bending around it and giving it a shining outline. it is mirrored in another, much larger black hole behind the person's head, the luminescent crown of golden rainbow light around it pulled and stretched into opposite directions by its spin.

Today marks the 50th anniversary of THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW. More than just a midnight movie, RHPS became a crucial gathering place for queers, punks, theater kids, and so many others looking for their place...and each other. Irreverent? Yes. Wild? Always. Nonetheless: Don't dream it, be it.
