Me: There's going to be a new lumistera I should probably pause work on it for now. ..I've spent probably 24 full hours kitbashing, editing meshes, fitting clothes to other meshes, recoloring & abusing unity since having that thought.

I just discovered that you can do a temporary pose in blender and weight paint while in that pose to watch the deformation in real time! This makes me not totally loathe weight painting now!

God I love having a deep conversation with someone only for Telegram to chim in and offer to make it all fake and have a computer think & feel for me. I loathe public speaking and writing official paperwork, but I'll do it myself a thousand times before I let a computer pretend to be me.

Well with the upcoming discord change I'm downloading what I need from discord-only sources then preparing to nuke everything I have discord related. Hoping for the last second "haha jk" policy change, but it's by far the first program I've binned and I have other means of contacting friends.

God, got hit with this last night and what a wild 5 years its been. Met my wife and many, many good people. Learned Unity, relearned Blender(previously used 2.x in school) & paintdotnet for avatar work. VRChat has helped me through some tough times by keeping me in contact with so many good friends.

Today I learned that Unity does not update files that need changed in a project(Sometimes?) until some point later, but will immediately update the project if a file is changed at any point by an outside program...

Quickly discovering how much of an afterthought PCVR is with the Vive Focus Vision. Been trying to come up with ways to avoid having to buy multiple batteries and doing hot swaps for "extended" (i.e. normal PCVR use). The streaming cable provides power, but went bad after roughly 1/3rd...(cont.)

Not only can I not decide on a single avatar in VRChat I can't decide on a single color for the avatars. With VRC detecting mat swaps for texture memory I've started taking off my toggles and just doing different uploads and... some of my scenes are starting to look silly.

Exploring ways to fix a smile that's too big for the teeth in the mouth. I could.. change each involved blendshape to be more sane, move the teeth around, make sure the inside of the mouth doesn't move with the lips... or I could just make the teeth longer and not care about the nightmares.

I've added MMD to so many models that I have it down to a routine. Facetracking & viseme blendshapes make things a ton easier, but I think this is the fourth time adding it to the Chipori. It's something I'm excited to do, but it's a bit draining to redo work. I'll still do it for my funny dances.

Not sure how often I'm going to use this, but guess I can use it to post things from random projects I'm doing. Like trying to figure out why this cloth keeps poking around for no reason. Turns out spinning things rapidly is the easiest way to find a complete lack of weight painting.
