The day lilies were planted by my landlady well before I moved in. They do their own thing in shady spot on the far side of our building. I'm the only one that sees/enjoys them regularly. I moved some hostas in that area to keep them company 👍. #BloomScrolling #nature #photography #AltText

My 1st native cup plant bloom (Silphium perfoliatum seems likely). It's their 2nd yr & they're all around 3-5ft (0.9-1.5m). I've seen plants on the restored prairie ~ 7-8ft (2.1-2.4m). The same inflorescence produces a cluster of flowers. #flowerws #BloomScolling #nature #photography #AltText
