This would be cool but, at least for Switch, the cartridges are read-only, yeah? They don’t even keep save data on ‘em anymore.
I dunno what the downsides would be if they went back to the flash memory cards like they had on the DS. Probably degradation if it’s having to write tens of GBs onto it.
