TW Animal Death Gunner’s passed away this afternoon. He started to take a sharp decline and after returning to the ER they gently put my boy to sleep. I’m going to be continuing my lurking for a while but I wanted to thank you all for your kind words. Hold your babies really tight for me.

This reminds me of in the 80s when Frenzy got recruited to Superia’s literal cruise ship full of women to become a Femizon and fight Captain America. I think that’s the feminist soldiers they’re talking about (/j)

Also, to clarify the dubious consent tags: Both Jayce and Vik are dealing with a little science contraption that is kind of the impetus for the dubious consent. Jayce doesn't realize what the device is doing, and Vik doesn't realize who is using it!! But they collide into one another and very quickly become interested in what's going on after a brief moment of shock and a bit of embarrassment. A cool hand rested on her forehead, tenting across her brows to block some of the light. That was when Viktoria’s eyes finally adjusted, and she realized she wasn’t talking to a sentient golden ball at all.

She was talking to a golden woman.

He rested his hand on Viktor’s shoulder, and felt the sensation of ice, cold and sharp, spreading up through his very bones. Deep and inextricably linked to himself, too far below the surface. Even if he felt like he was hardly doing enough, the small, relaxed breath that Viktor let out was a balm to his soul.

“We lost ourselves,” Viktor said, “We lost our dream. In the pursuit of great, we… We failed to do good.”

Viktor didn’t know the half of it. And that hurt Jayce more than any pain he took on for Viktor ever could.
