This collection was a wintertime release. But like a cold ice cream sundae, it may be better enjoyed in the hot, hot summer sun. Bring BURY ME COLD to the beach and let 14 horrors keep you cool, including the snowbound titular story! Published February 2025 by @quillandcrow.com

Do I have any friends who have time to beta read right now? Or maybe have any tips on how to built a team of beta readers so I can stop looking like shocked Pikachu every time I finish a book and need beta readers but don't have any

Thinking an anxious thought or a string of seemingly endless self-hate/self-doubt thoughts ‘cause brain gremlins are valid, PLEASE KNOW: At your core, and in your heart, you aren’t your negative, mean-spirited thoughts about yourself. Not everything you think is true. Breathe in/out. 💗💗💗

A reminder that tomorrow is the last day to download Spooky Salmonweird on KU. It goes wide on Saturday.

Background shows a dark churchyard, also shown on the book cover. Text reads: Spooky Salmonweird - Tales from the Village. From the Iron Age to WWII, thirteen spine tingling tales from the periods in which the supporting characters lived.

After a terrible weekend I'm back in the rewriting cave. I had an epiphany about myself last week that will hopefully help my writing overall and it starts with this draft. So despite a rough couple of days I'm super excited to get back into this book today 😁 (Wish me luck. I'm scared lol)

First: it's a great way to support me
My patreons help me live. Thanks to them I'm able to pay for what I need to pay for which helps relieve a lot of stress. I'm also able to focus better on my projects because I'm not as worried about making sales and marketing since I have something coming in monthly.

Third: more personal interactions
Because you're helping me live, you'll also get to be more up close and personal with me. We can chat, you'll probably get too much information about ot me, and we'll overall just have a good time.

Amazon gave me a whole penny today!!!!! 🥰 And then my bank flagged it and sent me like 3 notifications about it because it's only one penny 😭

Rieka Hunt @riekawrites.bsky.social · 27/02/2025

I totally didn't start a new thing 👀 Not while I'm supposed to be currently starting rewrites 👀 I would never do such a thing 👀

Rieka Hunt @riekawrites.bsky.social · 26/02/2025

I'm back slaving away at my pc. But I've got an iced coffee and adorable keycaps flat I refuse to shut up about so I'm excited and ready to go!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!! (Enter caffinated warcry here)

Rieka Hunt @riekawrites.bsky.social · 25/02/2025

I'm finally back at my desk 😭😭 I've got a little more P*treon stuff that I want to work on cause exciting things are starting (fiends, gremlins, and goblins, you'll start seeing it in March 😜) so I'll be doing that probably for the rest of the week 🥰 am happy

Sooooo yesterday I did the impossible and finished my draft basically 2 weeks ahead of schedule. As a reward, mamma ordered herself some cute keycaps for her keyboard! The reward makes is less shitty that I don't get to take a break because now I've gotta load up on some patreon content 😬😋

Rieka Hunt @riekawrites.bsky.social · 17/02/2025

Monday has fallen upon us and blah. So I'm eating a brownie for breakfast. Then I've got to write. I'm trying hard to finish this draft by the end of the month but this is the book that will never end. When I think I'm close, more scenes! I'm not upset. I'm loving this project but come on brain 😭🤣
