Go for it. Let us know how it turns out. Probably not well.

The medical industry is failing these kids. You are supporting irrevocable harm. Your spot in hell is reserved.

4 yrs of absolutely terrible cabinet member performance under Biden and not a single one was fired. Spare me the hypothetical.

Are we still counting as a covid death any death that includes a positive PCR test within several days of death?

Imagine this scenario: Poor kid wants a job. Willing to take it at $8/hr to get the experience and then move up to better job. Employer willing to hire kid at $8/hr. Not willing to pay more. What do you say to the kid? A) Tough luck kid. Keep looking. B) It's for the greater good.

Everyone on Medicare and Medicaid are super healthy, right?

Free? What tax rate are you willing to pay to support tax funded healthcare?

Because the govt paying for everyone's healthcare (via taxes paid by taxpayers) will make everyone healthier?

No American should have to choose between paying for someone else's healthcare and putting food on the table. It's that simple.

I know you're being sarcastic, but I agree. Anyone screaming pandemic should be treated skeptically.

Under age 65 the survival rate was >99.9%. Screeching that world was going to end didn't do him any favors.

It's not a disgrace. Workers earning min wage are most often unskilled young labor getting their first job. Preventing those people from getting into the workforce b/c of artificially high min wages would only hurt the people you're trying to help.

Why do you want to prevent someone unskilled from getting into the workforce? Do you not like poor people?

I knew about airlines but not railroad and trucking. While his was generally not a successful presidency, those three moves have had massive positive impact on our lives.

His greatest contribution was deregulating airlines, trucking, and railroads. Absolutely nothing else he did comes close in terms of impact to all Americans.

Harris would have lost by a wider margin had she done more podcast interviews. The Dems have an ideology problem, not a messaging problem, and they had an objectively unqualified candidate trying to message a failed ideology. It wasn't going to work no matter what.

The owner(s) reap the rewards because they risked their capital. If reward doesn't accrue to risk takers, people stop taking risks. If people stop taking risks, economies stop growing. If economies stop growing, everybody is worse off.

It has been shared, in the form of salary in exchange for the time and skills. Employees and society have taken no risk with their money. No investment in the world comes with all reward, no risk. Returns accrue to people who take risk with their capital.

The $112M compensation covers a multi-year period. Let's say he lasts 5 yrs and gets all of that. Having no costs associated with the CEO and redistributing it would give every Starbucks employee an extra $61.91 per year.

The right wage is what one party is willing to pay and the other is willing to accept. An observer without a stake in the outcome has no business opining on the appropriateness of that wage.

Someone who can afford yachts isn't doing it on expense (salary) extracted from a company. They are doing it on asset growth that they cash in. And to get the asset growth, profits of the company need to increase. And for profits to increase, you need to keep expenses low and revenue high.

Because when you increase the wages of a large number of people it makes the company noncompetitive and eventually drives it out of business, at which point wages go to zero for everybody.
