The immense pile of ‘stuff’ we took out of our china cabinet to move it for the painters. Most of this never gets used. My generation (boomer) got a lot of this from parents, and bought more, why, we’re not sure. Our children have told us they don’t want it.

This book was written in 1970. Zelazny was already popular in SF, but this really pushed him into fantasy. I bought it, then had to wait for the rest of the series. That took 21 years. But he did it. Brilliant world, magic and characters, great story arc.

Got new earbuds, a design I've not seen. No, I get zip for posting this. Shokz OpenDots. They clip around your ear lobe. and stay put during workouts. Also comfy. Not noise cancelling, but this design works a lot better with glasses than the ear loops. Other companies make this design too. Me likes.

Haven’t had pets in a long time. Love cats, but after years of cleaning litter boxes and having to worry when going away, when the last one passed, we decided to not get another. But one of our kids did. This is Wasabi, and she’s a very sweet girl.

The first draft of my 10th book, Extravagant Magic, is done. Fantasy that’s a little cozy, with humor and a romantic subplot. No graphic violence or steam, though there's suggestive dialogue. Set in a world loosely based on 18th century Italy. 103,000 words. On to revisions! My cover mock up:

My bronze medal for the old farts Barebow category in Outdoor Mailmatch, a cross Canada competition Archery Canada puts on every year. You shoot every week, and the average of your five best scores is counted. Pretty pleased with this.
