I have a strong 'be nice to robots' policy and my reasoning runs a bit like this. I don't know what consciousness is. I don't know where it comes from or the conditions under which it emerges. I am, therefore always polite to AI as either I'm being silly which I can live or cruel which I can't.

It's also incoherent. I may be misreading this but it seems to suggest that support for a '2 state solution' is basically fine. Well if one of those states is Israel then it's a 'zionist' position. I support a 2 state solution making me both racist and not racist at the same time. Great work guys.

I was in Hayling Island with my family enjoying some early autumn sunshine this lunchtime. my daughter and I enjoyed throwing stones into the sea. I think one of the ones she threw actually hit the Isle of Wight.

I've not been to see our boys since my daughter was born but I take her to see our girls 3-4 times a season. I quite enjoy getting a pint at half time and taking it back to my seat rather than getting a pint and trying to chug it in 5 mins flat.

Not going to go into it as it's my wife's story not mine but it's very similar. As a dad, all I'll add is that the opportunity to share our daughters feeding with my wife not only relieved the not insignificant pressure she was already feeling but cemented a strong bond between my daughter and me.

In short, can we criticise the lack of pragmatism from the Eurosceptic side of UK politics when we show none ourselves by pursuing a full rejoin agenda that tries to pretend that they don't exist? Sure, pragmatism is needed from both sides but there's only one side where we have any agency.

I think this analysis is 💯 correct. Should we in the UK rejoin space acknowledge that the political reality here, similar to Iceland, is that full membership will always be problematic to a sizable chunk of the population and that EEA is the more pragmatic halfway house to aim for?

They do have control if you have a documented record of abuse/ disinformation etc. they can't be held responsible for the 1st instance but they can be required to remove the offending post and prevent any further breaches. I swear that when it comes to this stuff people confuse hard with impossible.
