I have added journaling to my list of Library Night activities when I can't summon the mojo to edit. Or revise. Or write. Or stare at what I've already written. #writing #writersky #writingcommunity

One of the things I love most about writing horror romantasy is finding that fine line that borders entertaining gore without tripping and stumbling over into "that's just nasty" territory. #Booksky #Writesky #Amwriting #Horror #Writing #Romantasy #Snippet #WritingCommunity

Getting a head start on the spooky writing before October comes and goes as quickly as it did last year. What better time to write a horror romantasy between a Necrolord and his little ghoul boyfriend? 😍👻🧟‍♂️🪦 #Booksky #Writesky #Horror #Romantasy #AmWriting #WritingCommunity #IndieAuthor

🌻About Me🌻 Hi everyone! My name is Ricki. I am working on editing my FIRST EVER NOVEL that is sitting at a cozy 90,000 words right now! It is a M/M gay romantasy novel between a fierce no-nonsense warrior and a willful yet kindhearted druid. The book is titled The Warrior's Druid, book 1 of 4! 🧡📚⚔️🍁

Sunday afternoon at the library working on edits and revisions for #TheWarrior'sDruid! It's the Warrior's chapter today, and he's learning that he can't always process his emotions through punching. 🧡 #Booksky #Queerwriters #Gayromantasy #MM #Writingcommunity #Writing #Romantasy

Another beautiful morning at the #library working on some proofreading and revisions. Knocking out some synonyms for those adverbs that I love to use with reckless abandon! Enjoy your writing adventures today and always. 📝🧡 #booksky #writingcommunity #writing #romantasy #TheWarrior'sDruid

I was hesitant to download Ellipsus Plus at first, but its writing analytics pointed out I used the adverb "gently" 8 times in one chapter. I can't help it, he was being extremely gentle 🥺 Or DELICATE, I suppose... #booksky #writingcommunity #ellipsus #library #writing #synonyms #editing

A lot of my characters explore their hobbies to relax! I really like to give all of my characters some sort of specific hobby to help round out their personalities. Some of them crush flowers into colorful pigments to make inks; others are amateur artists sketching pictures of flowers! #SFFChat

Sometimes between sessions making edits and revisions to my novel, I like to breathe some life into my #WoW characters' role-play profiles. I'm pulling all of this stuff out of my butt half the time, just don't tell them that. Their digital hearts would be so crushed. #BookSky #WritingCommunity

Another beautiful afternoon at the local library working on revisions! This process has been a lot more soothing than the writing process; it's nice searching for paragraphs to shape and trim! I feel like I am at the word salon. #BookSky #WritingCommunity #Writing #Writers #Romantasy #Library

In today's culture where shame is encouraged to protect other's egos, EMPATHY for yourself and other writers is what builds resilience. Accountability should be an expectation, not an exception. #writingcommunity #selfcare #booksky

For my #TakeAMomentTuesday, I am grateful for the friends in my life who have supported my writing. They've stood by my side, supported me, encouraged me, and they've just... been themselves. For that, I will always take a moment to be grateful. #BookSky #WritingCommunity #Writing #Gratitude

Spice up your vocab, divas! Honestly one of my favorite parts of doing revisions is catching my "high mileage" words... ...and ERADICATING THEM. NO SURVIVORS. 'TIS THE DAWN OF THE SYNONYMS!!! #BookSky #WritingResources #Writing #Writers #NewAuthor #TheWarrior'sDruid

I have a cute little notebook dedicated solely to my brainstorming when I write. However, I never actually write in it - but I sure will write on a Post-It and slap that inside of the notebook! It just makes sense - it soothes me. 😌 #BookSky #Writing #NewAuthor #Writers #HappyLittleQuirks

Good morning #writers and #authors! I wanted to take a moment to promote this amazing book, The Emotion Thesaurus by Angela Ackerman and Becca Puglist! It has come in handy the many, many times I needed to describe a complicated or complex emotion while writing on my novel. #BookSky #Writing

One of the favorite tracks I have been listening to whenever I am writing one of my druid's chapters for #TheWarrior'sDruid! Not only does it inspire me, but it makes me crave fall and pumpkin spice lattes... He would crave them, too. Trust. #Music #Writing #BookSky
