Surely this must work hand in glove with the Rights of Nature movement. Ultimately, climate action is about creating a world where we understand that just as we are a unique, wonderful and valuable species, so is every other species and we no more than them. Renewables will be there, to drive growth, not for a "transition". We burn more wood for energy today than we did before we began burning coal. The only energy source we've ever given up was whale oil. Everything and everyone must serve growth. Until we end capitalism, this will remain the case.

It's very odd that even if we live in political democracies we don't live in economic democracies and we never seem to question this. We're enmeshed in a capitalist system where very few control capital and the means of production, so we've little choice in how we live and our environmental impact.
