In British Columbia, Canada, by law, Voters are entitled to four consecutive hours free from work to vote during advance voting or on Final Voting Day. Doesn't mean 4 hour off work, but must have a 4 hours window to vote.

In trying to understand Ovechkin's viewpoint, the article doesn't touch on or discuss one very important aspect of Ovehckin. Ovechkin has family in Russia and for him to speak out against Putin, would put that family at risk of imprisonment or worse.

I will also add that too many people think that communism is the system they had in the Soviet Union and currently in China. When in actual fact those are highly centralized governance systems, designed to concentrate power in the hands of a few, akin to an Authoritarian state.

This is the way, In Canada, only individuals (citizens and permanent residents) can donate, no corps, unions, assoc... in addition not foreign funding allowed. Contributions are capped and spending is capped.

I am half a century old and am Canadian. I grew up on a steady diet of entertaining movies where the USA was last hope and savior, whether it was an asteroid crashing into the planet, a soviet invasion, an epidemic, super villain, etc. Who is going to save "us" now in the movies if the USA is Bad.
