Latest loaves. Usual flours: Cotswold Crunch and strong white, but this time with ratio 3 to 1 instead of equal quantities of each. Frankly, I didn't notice any difference.

Proof, if ever proof was needed, that multitasking is no more than a theoretical concept. At lunch, I'd opened the jar of marinated herrings, and was passing the teacup to be filled. I won't go into the sordid details. Just say it wasn't as bad as spilling the bottle of red wine on the carpet.
