Personally I think it's a very, very bad thing. One issue is that by AI replicating itself on IoT devices makes it impossible to stop it. We are talking about AI on one's TV, microwave, doorbell, etc. Another is the havoc it can create on our everyday devices.

People should be aware that this is not the same as a personal locator beacon (PLB.) A PLB sends a distress signal via satellites to alert rescue authorities & provide your location along with sending a homing signal that aircraft and ground search teams. One is not a substitute for the other.

Dr Vimentin, unless it's changed since I retired, this was a difference between the Europeans & US that held PhDs. The Europeans expected to recognized, & called, Dr. In the US it was not expected. This miscommunication led to hard feelings & some feeling insulted or disrespected.
