Only maniacs choose bright white lights. Everyone should have warm light!

I still think the PowerBook G4 Titanium is a sexy piece of hardware even all these years later.

The speed of the M6 Mac mini is just absurd. I've just exported a vertical video which has resized a 4K video into 1080p, with colour corrections that's 2m56s long in 15 seconds.

Sure! Rub it in that you have a booting Sun system lol

It couldn't find this and it couldn't find that. Any one got any ideas?

So before I went on holiday, I tried once again to get Solaris installed on my Blade 100 but it failed to boot from another burned CD. I've tried two optical drives and four different ISOs from different places. When I set up a TFTP server, it booted but the installer failed.

There’s a guy on YouTube who makes things to convince his wife that his 3D Printer was a good idea. You should check him out for inspiration haha. I’d love a 3D printer but it’s a rabbit hole I daren’t venture into

I wasn't necessarily after a new one, but I got a good deal and I sold my old one for almost as much as this one was. I had some money from Adsense so it was a no brainer really. The graphics performance is MENTAL! I used to get 35-40FPS on M4 in Minecraft with shaders. I'm getting well over 80 now.

I may or may not have just bought a new M6 Mac mini...

I have a pet hate when you go to a restaurant and it's all dressed up nicely for say four guests. There are two of you and they proceed to take everything else away. Just leave it!

I rarely see stuff on there I don't want. Although I did spent a lot of time saying that I wasn't interested in stuff as it didn't match my interests, so perhaps that's why?

That's good to know thanks. We'll be moving soon and we'll only have Starlink so if I can stop my devices downloading multiple copies of the same thing then that'd be ace.

Then again, I do have a 500Mb/500Mb fibre to the property line, so it's not all that bad.

I wish I had something like this. I have two Mac mini's, a 14" MacBook Pro and a MacBook Neo. Then I have two iPhone 17 Pro Max's, an iPad Pro M1, iPad 10th Gen, iPad 11th Gen and two iPad Air 4s.

I had some Gen Z's in the studio today who tried out some retro racing with force feedback! Both really enjoyed it.

I'm fortunate that I can access the Apple Educational Store via my employer so I can get a bit of money off Macs and iPads.

My biggest issue is when it tells you something and you’re like ‘uh, that’s not right…’ and it goes ‘oh yeah you’re right, my bad…’

I’ve been playing Minecraft all day. I need to get out more lol

I was going to go into the studio today to film some more of my latest video but I got sucked into playing Minecraft. For the whole day… I guess sometimes you just need a day of doing nothing.

Somehow I fixed it. Id love to know how…and for how long is it going to behave?

Sometimes I wonder why I bother with this hobby we call retro. The PC I was just doing a video on has decided to die. I was just filming with it and all I did was restart it. Seems that was enough kill it as it won't post now.

I prefer the control of buying my own phone and having service separate. We're with Smarty because the pricing is super affordable. Perhaps look into doing it that way?

I've found naps should be no longer than 30 minutes. Anything longer and it's lethal.

Unfortunately for me, the sun disappeared behind a hill a few minutes before solar maximum, but I did manage to snap this. We got about 96% coverage here in the south of Spain.

I have given up with the Sun for the time being. It’s proving a very frustrating ownership experience thus far. So I have tidied up my studio which has made me feel a little better.

It sure is nice to look at but it is frustrating beyond words! 7 times I’ve tried the installed and it’s failed each and every time. But each step I get a little closer. I WILL get it working. One day.
