Two European silvers for Brighton/GB on the final day of the European Indoors 🙌 (yes, claiming George Mills as Phoenix…!)

This red Norway athletics kit then…👎 or 👍

This really is superb - much of this is still how Eurosport operates! “A friendly, slightly more homeopathic-feeling sports outlet” is a perfect description from @acjimbo.bsky.social, as a viewer and commentator. I have so much to thank Eurosport for and it continues to be a great place to work.

Terrific win for St Pauli. Bodged the ‘six pointer’ against Bochum during Englische Woche but smashed Union and did a job on them today. Starting to see the best of Guilavogui.

Watching Brighton and St Pauli home matches right now feels a little too similar…St Pauli have to get Weißhaupt into the game more.

Terrific final, found myself feeling quite emotional when Madison Keys won that. Brilliant win.

6 wins from last 7 league games vs Man Utd and three straight victories at Old Trafford. Tell the 15 year old me that, and he’d think you’re one of the lads who bunked off PE to smoke something questionable in 5th period. #BHAFC

Heard some ridiculous opinions on Graham Potter's style of play from some West Ham podcasters etc in recent days - "a defensive manager" was one claim on 5 Live last night. Potter transformed #BHAFC from a pragmatic team under Hughton into a ball-playing, attacking side. He'd be ideal for West Ham.

Arsenal thinking they deserve extra time to tweak their set pieces when opposition teams leave more players up field is wild. The delay taking them was already getting silly.

The same people going overboard about *an only just back from injury* Lewis Dunk were panicking when he was injured in the warm up before Wolves. #BHAFC

86’ and 91’ today…88’ and 93’ vs Wolves. Almost exactly the same capitulation from Albion in terms of time we’ve surrendered a 2-0 lead. #BHAFC

Speaking to us yesterday, Hurzeler hinted the back three was gone. Certainly doesn’t look that way - but who knows?! #BHAFC

Last marathon commentary of the year - with Jo Pavey on discovery+ from 0700 GMT for coverage of the Valencia Marathon - could be a speedy one on what will be an emotional day for the city.

Paul Merson was the last person I expected to be on the pundit sofa when I just turned the NFL thanksgiving matches on…

Carole makes great points here. When you speak to most athletes they talk about how anti-doping and whereabouts always at the back of their mind, so when they buy something over the counter without checking it first, that always feels bizarre to me.

Finally got round to watching Joy - and as a parent of a brilliant IVF baby I hope it makes even a small number refrain from a celebratory “family complete” post…

That’s some muddled thinking from Leicester - appointing and sacking Cooper so soon, one game after the international break. But the pressure on him from the start was too big - and what really are Leicester fans expecting this season? Have to build slowly back into the Premier League, surely.

Covered today’s Palace presser with Oliver Glasner and (as hard as it might be to admit as an Albion fan!) he must be one of the most engaging, intelligent managers in the PL. Scroll to 15:30 and listen to him talk about his passion for creativity - for kids, for everyone: youtu.be/UroC-utK6w8?...

Busy day for @skysportsnews.bsky.social covering Brighton boss Fabian Hurzeler’s presser, before a short hop to Southampton to speak to Russell Martin - hope to share some of my sit down with him a little later.

Really impressed with Ruairi McConville while commentating on Northern Ireland’s game in Luxembourg last night - looked calm and composed and like he’d been playing first team football for ages. Never started a senior match for Brighton (not counting EFL Trophy) before that game.

Wonderful piece from Gabriel Clarke on head injuries caused by football. Needs more focus like this, not just when another court date/decision comes up.

Barrow v AFC Wimbledon for me today on Sky Sports +, two clubs with big ambitions to finish in the play-offs. Strange season so far for Barrow - three straight 1-1 draws, conceding in stoppage time in each of them. If they’d held on, they’d be in the top three - join us from 3!

Yikes…but how much of this is just Solly, O’Riley and Joao Pedro? Looks a lot more optimistic on the other side of the international break.

Gallagher’s done a karate kick to make an interception and overhead kick to keep the ball from going out for a throw, and I’m absolutely here for this version of him.

This is good but it is a bit odd starting again in 2010, no? Is this the app Stephen Fry really liked?
