One thing I love about ideas is how they can just keep coming, and even ones that can feel half baked can become something new and better. I’m finishing a major rewrite on an idea that started as a vague pandemic psychological horror, and it’s grown into something more rounded and exciting 💀

Sex sells for sure. My highest viewed video is a veeeery rough film from when I was a teenager, but the thumbnail looks like there's some saucy stuff in it, and oh boy does it get a lot of views. Maybe it's time to make all the thumbnails horny.

my work in the past based off their own feelings and taste. I’m a truly indie filmmaker with no budgets for marketing, but as anyone who has interviewed me knows, I just truly love this stuff, and the idea of folks buying their way to the front of the line is sad and frustrating.

Aw thank you as always! Something weird is that this time of year, low budget indie horror actually does WORSE than other times of the year since everyone is focused on the big hitters. I LOVE seeing films like DISTORT, BRING OUT THE FEAR, IN A STRANGER’S HOUSE get to creep folks out for Halloween!

Thank you! God, I love low budget films too, and not just because I make them! So many of them just sing from a different hymn sheet than a lot of big budget films, and I just love that!! (Also, I love BW2, but that’s a different conversation 🤣)

I watched the Ray Gunn trailer and man could I just listen to Tom Waits’ voice for hours. The way he’s used in the trailer, it’s like the filmmakers totally agree, but then someone left the ‘And Tom Waits’ credit off the end 😢

Yeah all the iconic moments are definitely in those seasons, and each season has a much more defined identity. But I was so glad I finished my whole series rewatch on an upbeat feel for the show!

I have to say, I just did a rewatch of the whole kaboodle and was surprised by how much I liked the more recent seasons. The first half of the show definitely feels like a show in its prime while the second half of seasons feels a bit more ‘keeping on trucking’

Not sure why, but I'm mulling over when a journalist friend posted the press release for one of my films, but removed a part of my quote in it about the emotional realworld connection of it for me. I've always wondered if it's cuz it was cringe, or they didn't think I was a person to have depth!

I just finished a rewatch of the whole show a few months ago and completely agree. It's great that the new seasons ARE so strong and enjoyable, but yeah, you're spot on. Some of the earlier seasons had their own identities that really shook things up.

I wasn’t a big fan of The Mummy, but I think Lee Cronin has some of the most honest and inventive filmmaking style out there. Evil Dead Rise is such a great balance of his skill with something that hits the target IMO. Here’s to hoping for many more outings with his creative control at the helm!
