State Rep. Megan Cotter is sponsoring several bills to help school districts with finances, particularly the regional districts she represents. Transportation costs are a major cost driver for regional school districts. Another would restore a $331,000 state education aid cut to Richmond.

Thank you to the Richmond (RI) Town Council who approved a resolution to support federal employees affected by the shutdown. For any federal workers who went without pay, 2nd-quarter taxes due on December 7th can now be delayed without penalties or interest for an additional 60 days.

Two weeks ago victories in Virginia, New Jersey, New York, and California brought new hope. Out of 32 school committee races that Moms for Liberty ran in, they didn’t succeed in a single race. In spite of the negativity we see in the news and on social media, real voters want responsible leadership
